Comfort food. That was what I thought as I bit into this dish that took me to the Netherlands. Traditional Rookworst sausage from Brats of the World that was flavored with paprika, ginger and nutmeg, served on a bed of Stampot. A.K.A. "stamped" potatoes with vegetables.
I sautéed Triple M Acres onions and garlic, HartBeet Farm Kale, and Triple M baby kale and kale microgreens and mashed baby red potatoes from the Goodings booth. Sooo delicious!
You can get any of these ingredients at the Lake Saint Louis Farmers & Artists Market at The Meadows tomorrow morning. Get there early before they sell out. Brats of the World only has Rookworst at certain times of the year and once they sell out, you may have to wait for a long time to get more. Kale is coming back into season and both Hartbeet and Triple M sell out quickly!
