Out of Office.

Every year my other half and I take a much-needed break before the fall season to explore, be with nature and each other. This year has been extremely busy for us both, and we have had only a handful of days off together. We will be unplugged from August 21 - August 31st.

Let's runaway. Let's be wild and free like we were when we first met. Let's relish in our love story, making new promises and recommitting our original vows. Is there anything sexier than an epic 10 year vow renewal on a deserted beach? If you were thinking of doing a little elopement style shoot to renew your, do it. I promise it is worth it.

Aima + Eden. Where to even start with these two?? Aima reached out to me in 2020 when she was planning a very intimate elopement. We chatted back and forth on ideas, and I helped her put all the pieces together. It was a magical day, and I just could not get over how amazing she and Eden are. Then I got my most favorite thing in the world. An email from a past couple asking to work together again. Aima and Eden had planned a traditional Nigerian ceremony and added touches of Eden’s Scottish traditions. Insert my heart exploding with excitement.

During a traditional Nigerian ceremony, there are many theatrics, jokes, tests, and decoys to ensure that the groom has so much love and passion for the bride that he passes all of the obstacles. He must present gifts, answer questions and even navigate his way through a parade of decoy brides. These traditions are vibrant and full of fun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Aima was fully adorned in coral and the most exquisite vivid dress. Eden wore a kilt with his family tartan. Once Aima’s family agreed to the match, prayers were said, and Aima was presented with a sash from Eden’s Scottish Family Tartan. It was so much fun, and I am just over the moon that I got to celebrate again with this amazing couple.
