You see yourself as Mom, but they see you as home. š¤
As beautiful as motherhood can be, it is also hard.
There is so much that falls on our shoulders. The sleepless nights, the endless things to remember, keeping them safe, meeting all their needs, and that constant little voice wondering if youāre doing this whole motherhood thing right.
It can be overwhelming.
And if youāre like me, some days you may feel like you just canāt keep up.
But ya know what?
They donāt see that.
Years from now, when they look back on these days, they wonāt see the exhaustion or the long days or all the moments you wondered if you were doing enough.
Theyāll see the arms they grew up in.
The person who was there for all the little things.
The place they always knew they belonged.
Theyāll see the person who kissed the boo-boos, remembered the favorite snacks, listened to the same stories over and over, and somehow always knew when they just needed their mama.
And I think thatās one of the most beautiful things about motherhood.
They wonāt remember how hard it was for you to keep up.
They wonāt remember all the things you felt like you werenāt doing enough of.
Theyāll remember YOU.
The person they love most.
The person who made them feel safe.
The person who felt like home. š¤
