The hardest part of video isn’t the gear or the lighting or the edit.
It’s the two seconds before you hit record where you decide you’d rather not.
Our son was nervous yesterday. He still asked to be in it. Came up with the idea himself, took the line we’d written, and made it his own before the camera was even up. Blew a few takes, laughed, ran it again.
Nervous and doing it anyway. That’s the whole skill.
And that’s kind of what these broker’s open shoots turn into. Everybody’s already there, the house is already staged, agents are talking to each other instead of standing around a laptop. We just move through it and catch it. It’s the most fun we have all week and it’s the content that actually gets watched, because it looks like something happened instead of something being sold.
