The Colorado Supply Company, a subsidiary of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company, built this warehouse building in 1909 to store the merchandise it sold in its many department stores in the Las Animas region. Designed by I.H. and William Rapp and built by Crouch Lumber and Construction for $20,000. In the 1930’s it was sold to the C.S. Morey Mercantile Co. of Denver and then in the late 1940’s the Azar Wholesale Grocery took over the location. Today it is home to one of Trinidad’s many recreational cannabis businesses.

This was the third floor of the old Schneider Brewery stock house, where many barrels of beer were stored in racks running the whole length of the room and the two floors below. You can see the arched ceiling that housed the racks and barrels but the large hole in the floor was due to many years of neglect on behalf of the owners of these historic buildings in Trinidad, Colorado. Unfortunately this is probably one of the only images that exist of this location and will ever will since this building no longer exists. I was fortunate to document the former glory that was the brewery before a large portion was demolished with my Ricoh Theta Z1, professional level 360 imaging camera.

This rich community has many tales of the brewery and who worked there and all I have are images of an old building, steeped in tales, that I need to know more about. What is your Schneider Brewery story and let me know if you would like to see more of this series of 360 images I own???

I’ve been working hard in the office to finally go through about 4-5 years of DSLR and drone photos, and polishing my Lightroom skills, so I can finally do what I have been meaning to do for years. Sell my photos and license them. Soon I’ll be launching a store on my website where you can order prints and I am slowly adding a ton of photos and video clips to my Shutterstock account. I’m also adding a linktree to my instagram, should be working tomorrow, with all the links to my work on the web and all the new things coming this year. Follow, like, and comment please. I’ve been messing around with VR stuff and I found this really cool app called that can turn photos into 3D models. I first used it with my iPhone and made some cool models of rooms and such. Yesterday I flew my drone around and got a bunch of photos around the theatre, plopped them into the desktop version of Polycam, and got this amazing model!! I used the new Gaussian Splat feature to process it which gives it a painting like look and texture. It has been published to my Polycam account and I’ll drop the link in the comments.

The 360 degree photos are edited, have been uploaded to , and the virtual tour has been created for all four levels of this insanely beautiful historical theater, the . Currently owned by the City of Trinidad, the theatre is under construction to repair and revitalize it to its once famous glory as the first theatre of its kind in Colorado. The city hired me to create this virtual tour to try and curb some of the frequent visitors from entering an active construction zone and to show the public what has been done and what needs to be finished. It was a blast exploring this vast space and I hope everyone enjoys it. It will be publicly available on Google Street View later this week and I’ll make sure to post a link to it when it is public. Hope you like it..

Flew a drone mission today above Simpson’s Rest to create a highly detailed 3D model of the mesa and its profile. It will take the night to create the model and tomorrow to inspect it and start creating a video from it. Stay tuned..
