Some weddings are special because of the couple. Some are special because of the location. This one was both.

This beautiful wedding took place at the former home of Dixie Carter and Hal Holbrook, a property full of character, history, and Southern charm. As I was editing these images, I found myself leaning into a completely different style than I normally do. Instead of my usual bright and true-to-color edits, this wedding kept calling for something softer and more film-inspired.

Every wedding has its own story and sometimes the editing process becomes part of telling it. The timeless setting, the atmosphere, and the emotion throughout the day just felt right with this look.

Honestly, I had so much fun bringing these images to life and stepping outside of my normal editing style for a bit. I can't wait to see what you all think! ✨

When a random guest takes a moment to tell you you’re doing a great job, it means more than they probably realize. Long hours, lots of moving parts, and countless moments to capture and someone noticed. Those compliments never get old 🫶🏻

We 👏LOVE👏 a good before and after!

This is exactly why I shoot in RAW. The original image my look dark, underexposed, and headed straight for the 🗑️ bin, but the final image proves otherwise... Am I right?!

RAW files capture so much more detail than a standard JPEG, which gives me the flexibility to recover shadows, preserve highlights, and bring your photos back to life the way I envisioned them when I captured them.

More than once shooting in RAW has saved what could have been a lost image. Whether it was fast moving subjects, an unexpected camera setting, or in this case, tricky lighting, those details can make all the difference.

Trust the process. Sometimes the magic isn't visible until the editing begins ✨
