Melina Rain Photo MRP is a La Crosse-based natural light photographer who specializes in family and wedding portraits. She specializes in family, couple, and senior portraits.

After taking portraits and building her portfolio as a side gig since 2018, Melina took a dive and left her full time job in early 2022 to pursue photography as her full time profession. Her goal is to make the clients as comfortable as possible while delivering quality, lifelong memories with her portraits.

My oldest son gained a little sister and we are all so in love. It was such an honor to be on the visitor list, and to be asked to capture such a special and raw moment with this growing family. 2025 was truly an incredible, busy, and game changing kind of year. It's hard for me to put all this into words without sounding corny, but you'll be alright.

I'm so grateful to everyone for all of it. For booking a quick 20 minute family session with me; for those seniors who asked their parent if they could message me about photos; for the newly engaged couple reaching out to ask me my availability; for every good reference given to others; for liking things on my social media so people can find me easier; and for allowing me to capture you and your most intimate and big life moments. I have loved meeting all of the new faces (there were so many of those this year!), the new family additions, and seeing all the growth from my annual clients! I got the chance to branch out professionally and do a few more corporate contracts, as well as finally making the leap and going back to school this past fall.

I can't imagine I'll ever get used to the fact that this is my life, but I will soak in every stinking ounce of it that I can. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and from my family as well- I've never been more excited to see what the new year will bring!
