Every wedding day runs on a timeline.

But the truth is... the best parts rarely live on it. They happen in the in-between.

Your dad looking at you a little longer than usual when he thinks no one notices.
Your partner taking that quiet breath right before you walk down the aisle.
The way your people try to hold it together… and fail in the sweetest way.

Those are the moments nobody writes down in the schedule,
but they’re the ones that stay with you the longest.

When I photograph weddings, I’m not just watching for perfect poses or pretty light.

I’m watching for that.

The REAL stuff. The in-between stuff. The moments that actually feel like your day.

Because years from now, you won’t remember every hour of the timeline…but you will remember how it felt to live it.

There are only THREE spots left for my Spring Minis in the studio and I truly can’t wait.

Can we talk about the cake cutting for a second??

Because why is it always one of my favorite parts of the whole day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s after the vows. After the portraits. After the emotions have settled just a little. And then suddenly they’re standing there together, side by side, about to do something so simple… and it feels so big.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The way he looks at her like “are you going to smash this in my face?”
The way she’s trying to act sweet but you can see the sass building.
The way everyone gathers in close because they know something funny is about to happen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s playful.
It’s tender.
It’s a tiny glimpse into their real life together.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I swear — every single time — when they feed each other that first bite, there’s this soft little look that says, “We’re really married.”

Not just sugar sweet. Covenant sweet.

This wedding started with a several-hour drive toward Champaign… in the middle of a snowstorm.

Separate cars. White-knuckle roads. Weather alerts going off like they were trying to scare us away. But when your people are getting married — you go.

The snow didn’t let up, and honestly? It made the whole day feel even more magical. A full winter wonderland, soft flakes falling, the kind of backdrop you can’t plan for.

And after it was all said and done, Lindsey (my amazing second shooter) and I finally got our girls’ night — staying up way too late at the hotel replaying the day, laughing, and soaking in that sweet post-wedding glow.

Blizzards, long drives, tired eyes and all — so worth it every single time.

Getting to photograph your best friend’s growing family is something really special.

I’ve had the honor of capturing so many seasons for them—and now tiny toes like these. Watching her step into motherhood more and more, seeing their family grow, and being trusted to document it all means more than I can put into words.

These aren’t just sessions to me. They’re milestones. They’re memories. They’re friendships woven into photographs. 🤍

So grateful for families who let me grow alongside them.

When a couple trusts you with their vision and then shows up fully themselves… magic happens.

Lizzy’s idea to bring a truck into their engagement session already had me excited. But what I didn’t expect? The way these two light each other up.

Not just cute.
Not just romantic.
But that undeniable, can’t-keep-your-hands-to-yourself, laugh-in-between-kisses kind of love.

It felt electric. Bold. A little wild in the best way.

The camera was just lucky to be there.
