How to Photograph Your Life

I've been spending most of my free time lately writing, collating, and designing a new edition of the book that I wrote 20 years ago, "How to Photograph Your Baby." I'm really thrilled about this.

Everything in this book will be new - the words and the photographs - and it will be for sale as a wonderful gift for new parents and grandparents alike.

Many of the photographs are mine, but I'm also using Facebook photographs that people have posted on these pages in the last 20 years. The photographs will be beautifully presented, and the photographers will be prominently credited.

The reason I'm letting you know this now is that I would love to collect more stunning photographs from you folks. I will be writing a few short paragraphs about each photograph. This is going to be something that will make the photographers very proud.

So, if you have any beautiful, funny, touching, surprising, joyful, intimate, playful, creative, inspiring, memorable, charming, honest, spontaneous, delightful, insightful, encouraging, practical, entertaining, heartwarming, and irresistible photographs of the babies in your world, I would love to see them. I don't care if they are old or if you've posted them before.

All you need to do is post them in the comments under this post, and I can grab them.

Also please try and post the highest resolution version that you have of the picture. Thank you for that.

It would be super helpful if you could rename the file to the photographer's name and also in your comments, send us the kind of camera that was used to take the picture. It would look something like this:

Finally, I've posted here one of my favorite photographs from the last 20 years. It's an image that stirs up all kinds of emotions, including some laughter. I've put this picture here today because I do not know who shot it. Somehow, my incredibly sophisticated and organized method for keeping track of such things has failed me on this one. If anyone out there knows who shot this photograph, it would be a little gift to me.

Thank you so much, everyone! This is going to be a world-class collection of baby photographs. I already have some amazing images, but I would love to see the ones that you've been hiding from me.
