It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself...

Hi! I’m Cracky, or Crackerjack, or Jamie - the owner of Crackerjack Photography Studio.

Where did the name come from?

My dad assigns a nickname to everyone he meets. The origins of these nicknames usually go unknown. My prescribed alias has always been “Cracky” or “Crackerjack”. Maybe my dad is just weird but I prefer to believe he knew I would be great!

When I was looking for a business name, I found the definition of Crackerjack.

A person or thing that shows marked ability or excellence.

That was it! My business name was set.

Sara won a headshot session…and we definitely had a little fun with it. ✨

Sara won her session through a giveaway I participated in, and after our consultation, I knew we were going to create something really fun!

She wanted photos that felt like her—fun, energetic, feminine, stylish, and full of personality. She loves getting dressed up and going out with her girlfriends, fashion and decorating.

Nati Kolb Beauty by Nati provided professional makeup, Sara brought all the personality, and we had an absolute blast creating these images together.

A headshot session is an opportunity to show people a little bit of who you are and to feel confident.

Brenna agreed to model clothes for me…and accidentally fell in love with this shirt.

Meet the Kick It Shirt 💙

This is one of those pieces that can go so many directions. The Kick It Shirt is a relaxed-fit chambray made from a cotton-linen blend, so it’s lightweight and breathable but still has enough structure to make an outfit feel pulled together.

Wear it buttoned and tucked in, leave it open over a tee, roll up the sleeves, pop the collar…there are so many ways to make it your own.

Brenna fell in love with it while she was modeling it for me! 😂 I think these four looks show why. We went from casual jeans and sandals, to wide-leg black pants, to a little skirt and heels—and it works with all of them.

Have you seen the Atproperties REMI Christie's International Real Estate NoMi office in downtown Traverse City?! It is seriously beautiful.

@‌properties is growing, and I’ve had the chance to photograph many of their newest agents as they join the team. It’s been so fun meeting each of them and creating headshots that feel polished and professional while still looking like them.

If you haven’t checked out the @‌properties office downtown yet, definitely take a peek next time you’re in the area. And if you’re a new agent who needs an updated headshot… I know a photographer. 😉📸

One of the things I love most about cabi is that it’s not just about buying clothes — it’s about learning how to wear them.

At a cabi show, you’ll see:

✨ How to style one piece multiple ways
✨ Outfit combinations you might not think of on your own
✨ Pieces that work with things you already own

It’s honestly like getting a mini styling session while hanging out with friends.

And yes — trying things on is encouraged! That’s where the magic happens.

I wanted to share my new favorite jeans with you! Meet the Trouser Jean. 👖

These are such a fun mix of polished and casual. Dress them up with a blazer and heels and they almost look like dress pants, or throw them on with sneakers and a tee for an easy everyday look.

They’re high-waisted with a wide leg and that pressed front crease gives them a really tailored look. And bonus: the longer, wide-leg silhouette makes your legs look SO long!

I’m wearing mine with the Toni Blazer from this collection and a couple of older cabi tanks I already had in my closet. I love when a new piece makes things I already own feel fresh again!

And they come in short, regular, and long inseams, which is always a win. 🙌

Definitely one of my favorites from the new collection!
