I discovered my passion of traveling and photography as an adult. Photography allows me to express my creativity in a number of ways, work for myself and stokes my imagination. I currently shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV and my default lens is a 24-105mm. I sell my photographs online at hiltabidel.com as well as a few local establishments and at as many as 30 events per year, from Travelers Rest to Blowing Rock to Hilton Head.

Buford is now available on the app store! It’s still in beta but functioning well on my end. There may still be some bugs out there but if you are interested in trying it (as an artist, patron or organizer), you can download it from Apple’s App Store (search for Buford) and Google Play may be coming soon…
I am particularly interested in anyone having trouble actually signing up. I’ve heard from 2 or 3 folks in the past few weeks about such trouble and I want to make sure it’s resolved.

Aloha fellow artists! You know the feeling. You’re set up, the show opens, and somewhere in those 200 booths is an artist friend you haven’t seen since Artisphere two years ago. You had no idea they were here.

“Buford” fixes that. Buford is in BETA and I need testers. If you do festivals, I want you in. If you’re an event organizer, I need you, too.

“Check in” at your festival and appear on a live map. Browse the other artists who are with you — artists you’ve met, artists you follow, artists whose work you love. Find them. Go say hi.

Here’s what else it does:
• Share with a collector exactly how to find you — send them walking directions straight to your booth’s front door while you show them your latest work at the same time.
