I discovered my passion of traveling and photography as an adult. Photography allows me to express my creativity in a number of ways, work for myself and stokes my imagination. I currently shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV and my default lens is a 24-105mm. I sell my photographs online at hiltabidel.com as well as a few local establishments and at as many as 30 events per year, from Travelers Rest to Blowing Rock to Hilton Head.

Some of you own the “Love is Weird” photograph I created (THANK YOU AGAIN!) Originally, I created “Artisphere” from the letters. Then “Art is Weird” and then drawing from the amazing relationship I have with my bride and how we met twice in life, 23 years apart, in two different states, the natural transition took me to “Love is Weird”. Where I’ve been lately. 1st, driving
hundreds of miles through Scotland with my best
friend in this life, experiencing the best Scotland has.

2nd, today I had spinal surgery to resolve an issue
plaguing me for nearly a year. I am recovering at home
for as long as six weeks so it’s going to take me a

A work in progress. When I’m working on a photo I listen to related songs or watch scenes from the movie over and over and over again. It really pushes me into a passionate focus. For this one… I’m listening to “Goodbye Horses” by Q Lazzarus a LOT. There’s a great story about how this song came to be a part of this soundtrack and three others. Also interesting is what became of Q. I will resume work on this in about two weeks when I return from travel. And I promise you more Lebowski variations will be coming! Peace to you!

Scale is still hard for me. I know you want me to put the lotion in the basket… or else I’ll get the hose again. But that lotion needs to be made again AT HALF THE SIZE!!! Arrrggghhhh!!!
