This color palette makes think of lavender, honeysuckle, and poppies. So playful and warm for this sweet family. I smiled through the whole session and all the while editing it. It’s a gift to come back again and again to document your family’s growth and new phases. A new babe (I got to capture his birth too!). A new home. It’s a joy to get to share in these moments, especially when I’m seeing dreams come to life behind my lens. A farm! Chickens! A horse! These were dreams we talked about two years ago while capturing the newest addition then and here we are. Here ✨you✨ are. Thank you to this wonderful family for inviting me to follow you through each beautiful season of your lives. It’s such an honor and such a joy.

I have a lot of catching up to do on here. I’ve been delivering galleries but terrible at posting and I really want to celebrate these sessions! So here’s to catching up before the new year.

To start it off, a tea party in the trees for you. 🫖🍂🕯️This entire session was inspired by the wicker tea cups this mama thrifted for me. We have this sweet little game going of thrifting little things for each other when it’s just too good (she thrifted something for Harriet’s stocking that quite actually made me squeal). She gave me these tea cups and I knew instantly that we needed to do a fairy tea party with her girls. So we found an enchanted grove and made fairy tea with petals, acorns, and berries. Then warmed up with tea and cookies and listened to a story.

It’s all about making memories for me. I want you to leave our session having forgotten that the purpose was having photos. So let’s go for a picnic, have an adventure, hunt for fairies in the woods. Because really the purpose is you making memories that I have the privilege of turning into art. More from this session on the next post. ✨

So grateful for all of the families who have trusted me with memory keeping for them. Thank you, thank you, with all my heart for allowing me to capture you in this season. Happiest first birthday sweet baby P. This mama had P’s very first birth-day party waiting for arrival. No need to wait the 365 days to throw the first party! What a celebration. We were all especially excited to toast to this beautiful mama who emerged victoriously after working tirelessly to meet her girl. Congratulations on your first year with baby P. 🎉🎂🍾

Happiest first birthday to this darling boy and happy birth-day to his beautiful mama.

Every time I see this boy I feel wildly lucky. I remember thinking how unbelievably beautiful every moment of his birth was. Each second was more profound than the last, but that was impossible because with every image I thought nothing could be more beautiful. And it was. Infinite beauty. Infinite love. Infinite art. ✨
