🏁 NE-EDT MID-SEASON RIDER INTERVIEW | MELISSA TORCHIP #301 🏁
We’re checking in with one of our EDT Channel Riders, Melissa Torchip #301, for our Mid-Season Rider Interview!
Melissa’s 2026 season hasn’t gone quite the way she had planned. Back in May, she tore her ACL while playing ultimate frisbee and underwent reconstruction surgery in June. With a 9–12 month recovery ahead of her, Melissa has spent the season focused on physical therapy, training, and getting stronger every day. 💪
One of her biggest milestones recently? She’s started jogging again! 🏃♀️🔥
Looking back at her original EDT Channel Rider post, Melissa shared just how much an injury can change your perspective, making her grateful for the simple things like walking and going up stairs. Now, she’s continuing to put in the work and focus on getting back to doing what she loves.
Racing has been put on hold for Melissa this season, and recently, her quad was also involved in a fire, adding another challenge to her road back to the track. 🔥🏁
Even though she hasn’t been able to race this season, Melissa has still been keeping up with the NE-EDT family from the sidelines and says she’s especially enjoyed watching the Women’s Class! 👀🏁
💬 LOOKING AHEAD...
Melissa is already looking forward to 2027, with the goal of being fully recovered and returning to both ultimate frisbee and EDT racing!
We absolutely love seeing that determination and positive attitude. ❤️
Melissa, #301, we miss seeing you out on the track! Keep putting in the work, keep pushing forward, and we’ll be ready to welcome you back to the starting line! 🏁💙
Drop some ❤️ in the comments and show Melissa some NE-EDT love!
