Grey skies, cold wind, and Kirkjufell standing like a giant out of Game of Thrones. šŸ‡®šŸ‡ø The weather wasnā€™t exactly cooperating, but I knew I had to come back. Some places deserve a second chanceā€”and Kirkjufell was definitely one of them.

Thereā€™s something unforgettable about lying flat on the beach in Svalbard, Norway, camera in hand, and watching an Arctic fox wander toward you. šŸ¦Šā„ļø With the Arctic landscape stretching endlessly behind me, I stayed perfectly still as this beautiful little fox came remarkably close, completely focused on its surroundings. Photographing wildlife at ground level makes the experience feel incredibly personalā€”youā€™re no longer just observing, youā€™re part of the landscape. Its thick winter coat, curious eyes, and effortless movement across the beach created a moment Iā€™ll never forget. Svalbard has a way of making you feel very small, and very lucky, at the same time. šŸ“ø

Capturing the eclipse in Scoresby Sund Greenland was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I was juggling several cameras and also used my action camera to do a 10 second time lapse.

Have you ever seen a mountain that looks like it was designed for a movie? Itā€™s in Game of Thrones. Kirkjufell, on Icelandā€™s spectacular SnƦfellsnes Peninsula, is one of the most photographed mountains in Icelandā€”and itā€™s easy to see why. šŸ‡®šŸ‡ø

Known as ā€œChurch Mountainā€ because of its distinctive shape, Kirkjufell rises dramatically beside the sea and has become an iconic symbol of Iceland landscape photography. Its unique, perfectly sculpted profile is especially famous when photographed with Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall in the foreground.

On this evening, the combination of the flowing waterfall, moss-covered volcanic landscape, calm water, and an incredible Iceland sunset created a scene that felt almost unreal. The pink, orange, and purple clouds seemed to frame Kirkjufell perfectly.

This is one of those places where Iceland truly looks like another planet. šŸŒ‹šŸ‡®šŸ‡ø

Have you ever seen a puffin?
If you havenā€™t, Iceland is the perfect place to meet one. Thereā€™s something almost magical about seeing a puffin for the first time. You expect a seabird, but instead you find yourself looking at what appears to be a living, breathing cartoon character!
Look at this little guyā€”those bright orange feet, colorful beak, round face, and serious little eyes. He looks like he just stepped out of an animated movie and into the Icelandic wilderness. šŸ˜‚
Puffins are often called the ā€œclowns of the sea,ā€ and itā€™s easy to see why. Their black-and-white feathers look like a tiny tuxedo, while their bright beak and orange feet give them an unmistakable personality.
During summer, thousands return to Icelandā€™s coastal cliffs to nest. Watching them waddle through the grass, explore their surroundings, and suddenly take flight is unforgettable.
