Good Thursday morning everyone. I have been basically MIA on here. It has been a bad winter for me and with covid it's been worse. So here's some of what we had going on. Right after Thanksgiving my husband and grandson both tested positive for covid. Both had no syptoms but hubby did lose taste and smell. Hubby's taste came back but his smell still comes and goes. Our family is very sports oriented and racing was over as well as baseball so we had nothing to do. We did go camping the first part of November with family and great friends. Along with birthdays, Christmas and more birthdays we couldn't do the regular parties. My family Christmas on my moms and dads side consisted of just us. And on top of all that it's been so gray and gloomy with all the rain we have had. We have talked of going to the mountains but we haven't yet. We did ride up to the mountains (around the Sylva area) to see snow. It was so pretty. We did get to see alittle snow here in my neck of the woods. I love snow but just wished it snowed earlier in the day for me to sit and watch it (it snowed after dark). We did ride up to the mountains (around the Sylva area) to see snow. It was so pretty! Oh and I celebrated my 50th birthday last month (January 11th). So I'm now on the down hill side of that long hill I traveled up. I need to find an anchor to attach to this buggy I'm riding on the way down. I don't want to go flying down it lol. Now fast forward to today, I have kept a secret. I received a call last week about rescuing a small dog. I was told that it's a girl that's been fixed, mixed breed (chihuahua and terrier) and healthy. So after thinking for a week about whether I want to go through with getting another dog or not (we have been without any pets for almost a year) I decided to at least go see her and see what kind of chemistry we had together. After meeting her (she had no name) she reminded me alot of my chihuahua we had named Little Bit. So I gave in and said she was coming home with me. It's taking her alittle time to fit in the family getting used to another new house and family without any animals (her 1st rescue family had 5 dogs and 2 or 3 cats). After going through alot of names trying to figure out one that she may have like my 6 yr old granddaughter said let's name her Fancy! And just like that "Fancy" was her name! We call her "Fancy Girl". She loves to snuggle and sleep in the bed with us under the covers. I think she's fitting in pretty good. So help me welcome Fancy to my home and this page. So she may come with me on some of my shoots. She is still alittle skittish around new people but usually warms up quickly.
