A change I feel is important to share 🤍
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the images I share here and what it means to be trusted with something as precious as your family’s memories.
With the rapid growth of AI and the ways images can be altered, copied, and used without our permission, I’ve found myself looking at the photos I share of children a little differently.
So, moving forward, I’ve made the decision to **no longer share identifiable images of children on my photography page.**
This decision has nothing to do with my love for photographing your little ones. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I adore capturing the messy smiles, tiny details, belly laughs, and personalities that make your children who they are. Those moments are some of my absolute favorites to photograph. 🤍
But as a photographer, I’m entrusted with more than just a camera. I’m entrusted with pieces of your family’s life.
And once an image is placed on the internet, we lose so much control over where it goes, who saves it, and what technology may eventually be capable of doing with it.
Will this change the way I share my work? Absolutely.
Will it potentially mean fewer images, fewer likes, or less visibility for my business? Maybe.
But I’m okay with that.
Because no amount of engagement, exposure, or business growth is more important to me than knowing I am doing what I can to protect the families who invite me into their lives.
I may be a small business, but I never want to forget that behind every photograph is a real person, a real family, and a story that deserves to be protected. 🤍
