We specialize in creating unique photos for family and senior portraits and sports both teams and individual photos. This past Friday and Saturday was something new for me on the photography side. I have done plenty of "Cap and Gown" Sessions but both Friday and Saturday the request was to capture the ceremony. Like a wedding, there was a certain part of each ceremony that they stressed they really wanted me to capture. For a wedding it's maybe the first look, first kiss, etc, but on Friday it was Dylan presenting Devon is pin and with Faizan, it was being sworn into the US Air Force. These are both things you cannot "Do Over".

I am happy to say with both, I was able to capture each moment plus some.

When I go off coarse on a photo shoot and start asking the client "Can we try this", I always think of what my friend Kelly Johnson once said "Mike, they are hanging on their wall, not yours". Here are more photos from Quin Smeltz's senior session at Hershey Gardens. I will be honest, I really did not know what to expect as it was I did not know what the garden would offer as far as flower for trees blooming or even what Quin was bringing to wear. This was truly as last minute session as my Friday was already planned until a big wrench was through in it. It was a few hours after I had to cancel my Friday plans, that I received a message from Sally Smeltz with possible senior sessions date and Friday was one of them.

When arrived, it was very overcast with low clouds and fog but somewhat perfect for photos. We then went over what Quin brought as far as outfits and planned our session. Hershey Gardens has so much to offer, especially for her variety of outfits, which you see in the photos. We went from flowers and blooming trees to gates, a bridge with jeans and denim jacket and finished with a dress. This session was truly an enjoyable session from fantastic senior, to a cloudy day not fighting the sun.
