A little about me - I'm a 30 something wife & dog momma. You'll probably hear me make mention of my husband, Tyler, or my girl Luna from time to time. They're what make our family a family. We've been trying to start our human family for several years, & while the odds seem stacked against us, we haven't given up home. Infertility & miscarriage awareness are near & dear to my heart, & thus truly a
part of what makes me, me. Like a lot of others, I work a traditional 9-5 office job. While I love my "day job" & what I do - a lot of "brain" work - I was really in need of a creative outlet - insert photography. Photography has always held a big place in my heart, & a few years ago I decided to pull the trigger & follow my dream. I purchased my first 'real' camera in 2018 & began to practice, practice, practice. I never had any real training, although I've watched hours of video training - that counts, right? Any who, my work has come a long way. I've learned so much over the last few years - everything from proper lighting, to editing tactics, to running a successful side business. If you've been around from the beginning - you've witnessed all of the messy stages that got me to where I am today. Following this calling has been beyond a dream & I'm forever thankful that I decided to follow my heart & believe in myself. Let this be your reminder that you can do anything you put your mind to. A lot of dreaming & even more hard work WILL pay off in the end. Today, having the ability to provide my clients with beautiful images is something that fills my cup more than words. I truly believe a photo session should be equal parts fun, real, & raw. My goal is to avoid the stuffy, staged, awkward (& sometimes miserable) aspects that are associated with a traditional photo session, & instead allow you to feel at ease & natural, & just be yourself. My goal is to return to you images that truly represent who you are when you aren't in front of the camera. I always incorporate capturing candid shots throughout all of my sessions & typically these shots make for the best final images. You may find me snapping away while we walk from location to location, or even back to our cars. Don't worry - you'll thank me later.
