Hello friends. Remember me? 👋🏻

It’s been a real long time since I’ve posted here. Social media has taken a HUGE step back the past few years as my commercial clients rarely came from it and honestly, it all got a bit tiring trying to keep up with everyone else!

My focus has been homeschooling my now teens, moving my family to another new state (hello Idaho), and reinvesting in my own artistic vision.

We have settled in and I’ve decided to come back… on my terms… which definitely will not have any consistency or rhyme/reason, lol. This will be a place for my own art, sharing and growth. Not a place for business per se. I’m excited for some new ventures and a fresh perspective on my filmwork. Keep your eyes out for more art from me!

I’m also announcing a return of portraiture! I’m focusing on things I love to shoot… food and families on film! But keeping things limited so my focus can still be where my heart lies strongly… my family!

This summer, my husband and I celebrate our 25th anniversary. 🥂

In 2016, I was dress shopping for a workshop I taught in Iceland with my dear friends and and came across this stunning dress. It was WAY MORE than our budget for the shoot, but I went ahead and bought it with my own money because I had a flash of wearing it on a beach for our 25th anniversary vow renewal. I just had to have it.

Fast forward to now… I’ve kept this beauty since then. Waiting. I ALMOST got rid of it a few months back, thinking it wasn’t going to happen. Then last week we decided to go for it and booked an epic family trip to Costa Rica to celebrate.

Yes, you read that right, a FAMILY trip for our anniversary. Because the boys are teens and we have all the time to travel without them, but such limited time to travel with them. So to CR we go.

And I will be wearing this dress on the beach, renewing my vows with my best friend, with our sons as witnesses… just as I had glimpsed all those years ago.

That Cali light just hits differently. ✨

One of my favorite things about solo traveling is meeting people and hearing their stories. But I am also a hermit and prefer to sit quietly while people watching. My last night in Cali for my work trip, I went against my introvert nature and sat at the hotel bar for happy hour. There I met so many people, including the two gorgeous bartenders at the hotel. I asked them both to model for me the next morning and we had so much fun walking around “the funk zone” in Santa Barbara. I’m glad I got out of my comfort zone and got to meet these amazing ladies.

We ended our summer with a truly epic roadtrip with family… 6 national parks in 8 days! It was a whirlwind taste of adventure, but so many extraordinary memories were made. I highly recommend roadtrips with professional photographer friends so you can get amazing family photos in under 15min, haha.

A big thanks to for not only gifting us incredible photos, but for all the love and laughter over the past two weeks! We miss you already!

Now we are officially back to (home)school, back to fall sports (hello more swim), and I’m finishing up two major projects I’m so excited about. Life is good. So, so good.
