POV Matcha × Chrome Coffee Studio 🍵📸

A couple weeks before the POV Matcha pop up, Daniel & Eunice reached out about photographing the event and setting up my photobooth (Moda Photobooth Co.). Of course, I said yes.

And it absolutely lived up to the hype. Delicious matcha, POV merch, photobooth prints, and so many great people coming together.

Huge thank you to Daniel & Eunice and Design by Eunice for the opportunity to photograph and be part of such a fun event, and to Chrome Coffee Studio for being incredible hosts and keeping everyone fueled with amazing matcha. 🍵

Bluewater Grill in Redondo Beach is a beautiful venue for first birthday events. It is spacious, has tons of natural light, and neutral colored walls which makes for some lovely photos. More importantly, Chloe shined bright and sparked so much love from everyone around her. Thank you to Chloe’s family for allowing me to capture these wonderful details.

Your adventure awaits! Happy first birthday Leo!

Lighting can be tough at this venue due to the yellow awning that covers the entire patio. The key is to find the right balance of removing the color cast while preserving the intended color palette of this beautiful design.

One of the most common questions I get is, “What’s the best time to schedule an extended family session?”

My favorite time is about one hour before sunset. 🌅

This gives everyone time to arrive, get settled, and ease into the session without feeling rushed. The kids can warm up, grandparents can get comfortable, and before you know it, everyone is relaxed and having fun.

As an added bonus, the soft golden light before sunset creates beautiful, flattering photos that make your family memories shine.
