🌌✨ Night TWO of Star Trail Photography! ✨🌠

Another night, another sky full of stars! 😍📸

October 22nd marked my second night experimenting with star trail photography, and I am absolutely LOVING the results!

I set my camera up in our backyard and let it work its magic, capturing hundreds of photos over the course of the night. After stacking them together, this was the final result! 🤩🌟

It’s amazing what our cameras can capture that our eyes can’t see! From the beautiful trails created by Earth’s rotation to the streaks of passing aircraft, the night sky is full of surprises!

One of my favorite things about our new home is being able to step outside and photograph the stars without having to travel anywhere! 🏡❤️

I’m still learning, experimenting, and figuring out what works best, but each night I’m getting a little better!

Night two is officially in the books! 🌌✨

🌌✨ My Very First Star Trail Photography Attempt! ✨🌌

Last night, I decided to try something completely new with my camera, and I’m so excited to share the results! 📸💫

I set up my Nikon Z6 II outside under the stars to photograph the Orionid meteor shower, hoping to catch a shooting star or two! ☄️

Unfortunately, I didn’t capture any meteors, and about 100 of my 350 photos were ruined when my lens started fogging up. 😭

But I wasn’t about to let that stop me!

I took the photos I could save, stacked them together, and created my very first star trail photograph! 🌠

Each streak of light shows the stars’ apparent movement across the night sky as Earth rotates. How amazing is that?!

This was my first time attempting anything like this, and while there’s definitely room for improvement, I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out! ❤️

One of my favorite things about photography is that there’s ALWAYS something new to learn. Sometimes the unexpected results turn into something beautiful!
