Your guests help shape the entire experience. They, too, are part of your story. While I take many photos from the last half of a wedding, I don’t share nearly enough. That’s about to change.

Cocktail hour is one of the most underrated parts of a wedding day. It’s like warmups at a sporting event. Making meaningful conversation before the drinks start flowing and the dance floor opens.

Here’s to the guests and all the fun that happens in the last half!

The rain and wind were no match for these two. Married at Sacred Heart Church in Bay Head, NJ, they celebrated at a private club in Bay Head with their friends and family.

We started off with portraits in the boat house to avoid the high winds. The boat ride was non-negotiable. They left as it rained and just moments later-it stopped! This also allowed us to grab a few more portraits on the upper deck, one of my favorite spots.

If there is any family I could choose to photograph in what felt like 30mph wind, it’s this one. Up for anything, smiling, laughing and playing the entire time. Without having to prompt, they immediately interacted with the kids in a genuine way which told me they came for the natural looking photographs, not stiff poses. They came to the right place 🫶

It was windy, cold and rainy, but somehow their wedding day still felt soft and full of light.

Wrapping up this Bay Head wedding gallery and I can still feel the energy of this day. Bridesmaids and Man of Honor wore light blue and yellow with classic white bouquets, the perfect palette for Spring. Their pup made an appearance for portraits of course, and the bridal party never stopped smiling!

Such a beautiful, fun wedding and I can’t wait to share this gallery with them so they can relive it over and over again 🤍
