Things have been a little heavy on our feed lately… but we can brighten things up with this SAVE THE DATE for our Holiday Sessions!

Every year we build two custom sets in the studio and invite people and their pets to have their pictures taken. We donate half of our session fees and a portion of ornament sales to our friends at Planned Pethood Toledo as our way of honoring the spirit of giving the holidays bring. Despite how often life changes, dogs seem to ingrain themselves instantly into the “everyday” feeling of home. Sometimes we don’t notice or anticipate how many tiny things will make us miss them.

We are so sad that Chelsea’s moms had to say goodbye to her a few weeks ago. It was a privilege to get to document her sweet soul several times. The last time, I knew it would be the last photos I would take of her. In typical Lab style, she was happy just to be with her people but her body couldn’t keep up with her heart anymore.

Even in saying goodbye, it is clear the love much outweighs the grief. My dear, you brought so much joy to your family.

We had so much fun at the Bedford Branch Pet Expo last week!

He won’t remember you… not really. He will think he remembers you through pictures and videos and our stories. Lewis does remember how sad I was when you left… he doesn’t understand death, but he was able to understand the tears.

I don’t know if Titan was sad. You leaving took away his occasional bully but also the companion he grew up with. We learned to set up our way of life to manage your triggers so that he not have to stick up for himself often and you were able to have walk adventures, naps and an occasional tug together. He was there when you left. He might not have missed you, but he was able to understand the tears.

Two years later, this day still brings the tears. I don’t wish you were here… it was time. But I can still miss you with all of my heart.

I am still trying to find my way to live up to your abilities to change for the better, advocate for your needs and grow in self-confidence. I was able to help you find the tools to grow your trust of those around you and your trust of yourself and, even though it’s a struggle, I won’t give up looking for those things for me as well.

I was your mama first. And you made me so much better for these boys because I got to take care of you. ❤️

How ADORABLE is this picture of Kat?! 💜
Huge thank‑you to our friends at Trumbull Photography, LLC because capturing Kat is a sport. You get .2 seconds to snap a decent photo before she zooms off again, and Rebecca and her team nailed it. 📸✨

Kat is truly the sweetest little Blue Heeler/Spitz mix, born around September 20th, 2025, and weighing in at a petite 15 pounds and she is fully grown. She’s great with dogs, cats, and kids, and she brings sunshine and silliness everywhere she goes.

🐾 What Kat Needs
- A dog friend close to her size as she thrives with a buddy who can match her playful, gentle energy
- A physically fenced‑in yard. This girl LOVES to run, explore, and do her happy zoomies safely
- A family who appreciates a smart, social, wiggly little shadow who wants to be part of everything

Kat is crate trained, learning quickly, and has the happiest little spirit. She’s ready for a home that will adore her as much as she adores everyone she meets. 🏡💕

💚 JIGS - HOW DO WE STILL HAVE HIM?!

Rebecca at Trumbull Photography, LLC worked absolute magic with this boy. She caught every wrinkle, every goofy expression, every “I’m a big baby disguised as a tank” moment. If personality could ooze out of a photo, this one would be dripping.

And yet…
He is STILL the last of his litter waiting for a home.
We genuinely do not understand how.

🐾 Who Jigs Is
- Born January 12th - now a big, wiggly, lovable puppy
- Currently 40+ pounds of love
- Fully potty trained
- Crate trained
- Walks beautifully on a leash
- Amazing with other dogs
- Wonderful with kids
- Has seen cats at events - no one‑on‑one time, but he’s respectful, observant, and we believe he’d take direction well
- Big, goofy, smart, social, and SO ready to be someone’s best friend

Jigs is the kind of dog who makes strangers smile, who wiggles his whole body when he’s happy, and who melts into you like he’s made of warm dough.

🏡 What Jigs Needs
- A family who wants a playful, affectionate, companion
- A home that appreciates a dog who is equal parts goofball and gentle soul
- Someone who sees the magic in the last pup standing
- A physically fenced in yard

He’s watched his mom get adopted.
He’s watched all his siblings leave.
He’s done everything right and he’s still waiting.

Jigs deserves his turn. 💚
