I woke up this morning feeling compelled to share this gorgeous gallery from a little while back in Columbus, then I remembered it was Ray's birthday today, so my subconscious must've been working overtime I suppose. I guess when you've loved someone since you met in school at 5 years old, their birthday just gets kind of ingrained into your soul. Sending all the birthday wishes to Ray today & all the wedding well wishes to them both, because their wedding is less than a month away! 😍🥳✨️

Sharing a fun little surprise for Katelynn Heslet from her session with her hubs & sweetheart Titan, who is getting up there in age & moving a bit slower these days. I can say with 100% certainty she will never regret having done this session, soaking up some snuggles and grunts from her little big guy & just enjoying the sunshine for a bit. It's end of summer special time and if you or your kids love horses, these are going to be the perfect sessions for you. This year's end of summer sessions are going to be big on the experience part of getting photos taken - you'll get to spend close up one on one time with a horse or pony during your session, and then we'll explore the fence line for flowers & snuggle up under trees for the rest of our time together. What a perfect spot for any type of photos...I am so excited we shifted our plans and ended up here! Plans don't ever have to be set in stone, it's always best to roll with whatever life is giving us & make it work instead of trying to fight it.

Lightning over Gust Flower Farm in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. We ended our session just as the storm really started to roll in, but I had forgotten to grab any content (as usual, lol) so grabbed this quick video on my way out and caught a cool patch of lightning. 🤯😎

But really though...bring your silly/awkward/shy/chaotic family just as you are, that's all I need.

New people are often surprised when they find out I'm not a super social person because of my having a job that forces me to talk to and direct so many people that I don't really know, lol. I really have no idea how I ended up lightweight bossing strangers around for a career when I have to give myself a pep talk to make phone calls and go to appts, but here we are 🤪
