Who has clothes lines in their yard?

I miss the days when my mama used to hang laundry out to dry! The smell of fresh sheets after being sun kissed dried on the line! One of my favorite memories!

Hi! I’m JP. And can I tell you how incredibly nervous I was to do this photo shoot? Like, ready to pass out, sweating and acting weird. ( ask )

I’m TERRIBLE in FRONT of the camera.
But put one in my hand and I’m transformed.

Life.
That’s what I want to document. In all its uncertainty, funny, emotional , messy, precious, chaos, sweet memorable moments. Let me see it all.

As a mama to 7 children, family life is so important to me.

While I do still photograph small/intimate weddings, headshots for the not-so-stuffy -business look, bo***ir images , and adoptions, I’m obsessed with all things birth related: labor, delivery, postpartum, fresh baby, motherhood, family.
I also have a heart for milestone moments such as 6,9,12,18 and 24 months.

I have a cozy little bright and airy studio nestled in the outskirts of downtown Toledo- “off off Broadway”, where I manipulate natural light to wrap your sweet little moments in.

My focus is on the bond between mama and baby, family connections, and LOVE.

Let’s grab a cup of java or a glass of wine and chat!

So exciting!!!
In the next couple of months I have some big changes coming to the studio!

But for now the biggest GIVE I have to announce is that my studio sessions are now just $199!!!
That’s right!
With the exception of newborn/ fresh baby and bo***ir, all milestone, birthday, kids, small family 30 minutes sessions are just $199!

Why??
Because groceries and gas are enough to break our wallets right now and I believe everyone deserves to have moments documented affordably!!

With the way the economy is and high price / inflation happening, I really want to be able to give my clients a little break as much as I can. And no one should have to sacrifice quality imagery of your precious family!

PSA: isn’t she adorable?? Don’t you just want to take her home??
Guess what?? So do some creepers out there! Did that grab your attention? READ PLEASE.

This is what happened to my daughter and grandson today- her words.

🚫TARGET PSA 🔈

Today around Noon, my 5 year old and I were out shopping at Target on Airport Highway, like any other week. We got a few things back in the cleaning aisles, and then headed to Gardening where we first noticed him. This guy, older probably 50-60’s, wearing a stocking cap, gray Ohio State sweatshirt and hands in his pockets. No carts, no kids, no one else with him. Just walking around, seemingly like everyone else.

We headed to the toy section at the request of my kiddo and noticed him there too. Weird. He had no kids but maybe he was shopping for someone? No big deal…then we walked over to house goods and were looking and smelling some candles for about 3 mins. I turned around and this guy was right behind us. 3 feet away. Goosebumps, sweat, and a gut punch to my stomach.
I immediately pushed my cart through the closest aisle and decided it was time to check out and leave. I don’t know what his intentions were being in that store but my intuition made me feel like I needed to go.
So on my way to check out, I was too anxious to turn around to see if he was behind me, I stopped as I saw an employee folding clothes in the girls section and told her there was a gentleman that happened to keep showing up in the same sections as me and getting a little close and wanted to let someone know in case anyone else was also having this issue or maybe I misjudged and he was a plain clothes security worker, at this point I didn’t know. She immediately looked around us to make sure he wasn’t around and said No he is not a worker. We walked together to check out. I paid for my things, and her and another employee said they were going to walk out with me to my car. We did. ( more in comments)

Yes! I do have opening for birth stories still this summer and fall!

But the calendar is filling up with not only births, but trips for photog conferences, family sessions, personal trips.

So if you’re considering birth photography, the only way to guarantee I can be there is to schedule sooner rather tan later in your pregnancy with contract and retainer.

I’m so excited for all these babies in 2022!

** if you or someone you know is due in the next two months I do have a couple openings as well!

I’ve been out of the office this past week visiting my bigs and grands in Va Beach.

Tomorrow I return home ( an 11 hour drive all by myself!) gives me lots of time to think and reflect and although I’m sad to leave this half of my family, I’m excited to get back to the studio and start on the renovations and changes!
