🚨 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 🚨
I have made the decision that I will no longer be posting identifiable photos of children’s faces on my personal page or my photography page — even when I have a signed release.
Recent federal court developments involving AI-generated child sexual abuse material have raised serious concerns about how easily images of children can potentially be manipulated and exploited. Regardless of the legal arguments surrounding these cases, one thing is very clear to me: AI has created risks for children that we cannot ignore.
As a photographer and, most importantly, as a mother, I cannot in good conscience contribute to a world where a child’s innocent photograph could potentially be taken, manipulated, and used for something horrific without their knowledge or consent.
I know some may disagree with this decision, and I completely understand that. But for me, protecting children has to come before likes, shares, portfolio content, or convenience.
A signed release does not change how I feel about protecting a child’s privacy and safety.
I am a mom, and I will always want to protect every child the way I would want someone to protect my own. 🤍
This decision is not about fear. It is about responsibility.
Children deserve to grow up in a world where their images are treated with care, dignity, and respect. And I will do my part to help make that happen. 🤍
