Not everyone looks good in pink and you know what... that’s kinda the point.

I’ve helped hundreds of women choose their outfits over the years, pulling pieces from my 400+ item client closet, trying different colors, cuts, textures, and styles until we find the ones that make you go, “OH. Okayyyy. 👀”

And honestly? I LOVE when something looks incredible on one woman and completely different on another.

Because you’re a one-of-one, babe.

Your body, your skin tone, your curves, your style, your energy... they’re uniquely YOURS. So why would I expect the exact same lingerie to work for everybody?

That’s why I’m not just going to hand you a bodysuit and send you on your way. 😂

As much as I love being your photographer, I also get to play personal stylist for the day.

We’ll dig through the closet, try things on, experiment a little, and figure out exactly what makes YOU look and feel incredible.

And trust me... we’ll find it. 😉

The women who walk into my studio don’t get nearly enough credit for how much courage it takes to get here. 🤍

They KNOW this isn’t an everyday experience.

They know the nerves are probably going to show up while picking outfits, driving to the studio, and maybe even right up until the second they walk through my doors.

And yet... they still click that “BOOK NOW” button.

Because somewhere underneath those nerves is a little voice saying, “Life is way too short to keep being afraid.”

Too short to keep hiding parts of yourself.

Too short to wait until you lose the weight, feel more confident, hit some milestone, or magically wake up one morning without an insecurity in sight.

So to every woman I haven’t met yet who will eventually walk through my doors this year...

I hope you know that once you’re here, the day is about YOU.

Your comfort. Your confidence. Your vision. Your experience.

I respect the hell out of the courage it took to get here, and I’m going to do everything I can to give you the bo***ir experience you’ve been dreaming about.

As we wrap up our very first year of Velvet Vixens, I can’t help but look back at this group of women and feel SO incredibly proud. 🤍

What started as bringing a group of women together for some beautiful photos turned into something so much bigger. A little sisterhood full of encouragement, ridiculous amounts of laughter, cheering each other on, and watching confidence grow right in front of me.

These ladies will always hold a special place in my heart because they were the FIRST. They helped shape what Velvet Vixens has become and showed me just how special this little community could be.

Now it’s almost time to pass the torch to a new group of Vixens, and I cannot wait to see the friendships, confidence, and memories this next year brings. 🥹

To my first Vixens, thank you for making year one something I’ll never forget. 🤍

Shoutout to every woman who refuses to shrink herself simply because she’s not someone else’s cup of tea. 👏🏻

I know plenty of women who LOVE big hoop earrings. Personally, I could never see myself wearing them, but that doesn’t mean they don’t look absolutely incredible on someone else.

The same goes for you.

Someone not seeing your beauty, your energy, or your value doesn’t make any of it less real. You were never meant to be for everyone.

And to the women who carry THAT energy with them every day... I love you, and I hope I get to see some of it in my studio. 🤍

I hope you know you’re allowed to love and celebrate the woman you are right now. 🤍

Not just the future version of you who feels a little more confident, has everything figured out, or finally checks off all those little things you’ve convinced yourself need to happen first.

You, right now, are worthy of being photographed.

I know choosing to do something this big for yourself can feel a little scary. We spend so much of our lives pouring our time, energy, and money into everyone else that committing to ourselves can almost feel uncomfortable.

But maybe that’s exactly why you deserve to do it.

Give yourself the chance to see what I get to see through my camera. Let yourself be celebrated, taken care of, and reminded that you never needed to become someone else to be worthy of any of this.

A lot of the women who walk into my studio have completely different lives, different stories, different reasons for being here... but I hear the same feeling over and over again.

Somewhere along the way, they gave so much of themselves to everyone else that their own spark got a little quieter.

They became the dependable one. The hardworking one. The mom, the partner, the caretaker, the woman who gets things DONE. And without even realizing it, they slowly started putting themselves second.

My studio was built for that everyday woman. The woman who has responsibilities, works hard, takes care of the people she loves... AND still deserves to choose herself without feeling guilty about it.

You don't have to abandon all the roles you carry to find yourself again.

Sometimes you just need to make a little room for her. 🤍

Can we normalize feeling ourselves without calling it vanity? 💕

The world already does a pretty damn good job of trying to dim your sparkle sometimes, so why shouldn’t we do the opposite?

I want you to romanticize the hell out of your life. Put on the lipstick just because you love the way it pulls your whole outfit together. Wear the bodysuit that makes you stop and admire yourself in the mirror. Take the compliment without immediately trying to brush it off.

And yes, come into my studio and let yourself feel like the absolute main character for a day. Wings, gorgeous lingerie, a little glam and ALL.

Because I don’t want that confidence to exist only while you’re in front of my camera. I want you to take it home with you. I want it showing up weeks and months later when you catch yourself in the mirror and think, *damn, I really do love her.*

Let’s romanticize loving ourselves a little louder. 🤍

One of my favorite parts about designing my studio has been creating spaces that all feel completely different, because confidence doesn't look the same on everyone.

Some women walk into the Book Nook and instantly relax. Others light up the second they step into the Glam Lounge. Some fall in love with the Bedroom Set because it feels soft and cozy, while others are all about the dramatic vibes of the Passion Lounge.

That's why I never expect you to fit into one version of "sexy."

We'll find the spaces that feel the most like *you*, and then we'll build your session around that.

The goal has never been to make you look like someone else.

It's to help you see just how incredible you already are. 🤍

I absolutely love when a client walks into the studio with beautiful tattoos.

I've always thought tattoos are kind of like jewelry. They naturally draw your eye, but they also tell a story. They represent different chapters of your life, people you've loved, things you've overcome, passions you've discovered... little pieces of you that you'll carry forever.

That's one of the reasons I think they photograph so beautifully during a bo***ir session.

Bo***ir has never been about hiding who you are. It's about celebrating every part of your story, and your tattoos are part of that story.
