A few snaps from our moto trip back in September. Three dudes, four bikes, two weeks, and 2600 miles (2200 of which were all off-pavement) and countless memories.

I had the pleasure of joining an amazing group of people yesterday at the Siletz restaurant in Lincoln City for a special seafood dinner. This building has had me so amped from the moment I very first toured it during its construction. The location is unmatched, the natural elements of wood, stone and metal working together to create such a feeling of contemporary ruggedness. The boardwalk that floats you over the bay on a high tide, I mean the list just goes on. But really the Pelican team has outdone themselves on this one. I feel so blessed to be a part of this family. If you haven’t been out to have a meal at this place yet, please, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t be disappointed.

One of those moments when you start a 6 hour drive at 7pm, you’re pounding gas station coffee and jamming to Foreigner. Meanwhile your windshield wipers are on the 10th power because it’s pouring rain. Then about 2 hours in, you crest over the mountain pass and start your descent into the plains, the wind is blowing a nice blustery sustained 50 knots from the west and it starts to feel like your 46 year old barn shaped vehicle might take flight. You take the exit for the gas station because you’re already burned through 3/4 of a tank because you have your foot to the floor just to maintain the speed limit with the breezy headwind conditions. As you take the exit and you finally have a moment to let your knuckles take a rest from gripping the steering wheel like your life depends on it and BOOM, you see what’s been behind you for the past 10 minutes….so of course you find the most picturesque pullout you can find to snap some photos while you have a moment of excited hysteria over the light conditions. Yup, this was one of those moments. Eat your heart out Instagrammers 😎

Posting this a little late but here’s a shot of me at the about 38 miles in, just a few miles before my piston decided to poke his head out and say hi to the outside world. Even without finishing the full 100 miles, this race was hands down one of the most brutal endurance challenging things I’ve ever done on a dirt bike. Coming for you next year!!

Post surf brews are the best kind. I’m always pumped on what comes up with but their Paddleback really is the perfect summer change out beverage.

Logged 8 hours in the water yesterday with . We were chasing this view all day long. One of the most memorable days of surf of my life. A day of magical conditions and good friends. Although I can barely walk today and have a real bad surf hungover 😂

Six years ago today. Amazing how fast time flies when you’re having fun. Today’s forecast doesn’t look quite as meaty as it was in this photo but we do have a good run of swell coming through this week. Work hard, play harder

Here we go guys!

The last year and a half has been a whirlwind in my life. You’ve probably noticed that I haven’t been posting as many scenic photographs or travel photos as I have in the past. Since covid hit, I had to make a decision to switch gears to continue making a living and re-evaluate my life goals. Long story short, I have been restoring buses and taking on custom fabrication jobs full time now for almost 18 months. Although I am still taking photo jobs, those photos typically don’t end up on my social media. And honestly, most of my time is now spent working on various projects in the shop.
Over the years, so many of you have followed along on Roxy and my journey together as I’ve poured countless hours into her and lost more sleep, blood and tears than I’m willing to admit learning and growing my skills to the point that I’m at today.
With that said, I have received so much positive feedback from so many people on all of the projects that I have showcased on my personal instagram account that I have finally decided to create a dedicated instagram for all of those videos and photos to live.
Along with the new account, I have decided to start a YouTube channel focusing on multi video style series covering the restoration process on my projects as well as in depth how-to videos related to anything Vw bus as well as EJ series subarus. I have recorded my first video and will be releasing it shortly. I will have the link to my YouTube channel in bio when it is live.

More than anything, I want to just say thank you to anyone and everyone who has ever sent me a message about any of my projects. The feedback has been humbling and I’m so psyched that so many of you guys are interested in these old time machines we call Buses.

I’m stoked for this new chapter in life and I hope you will continue following along to see where this road goes!
