As I’m heading into the busiest season of the year for me, and if I’m being honest, I’m trying to prepare my heart just as much as I’m preparing my calendar. 🤍

There’s a lot coming up, a lot of sessions, a lot of people to love on, and a whole lot to be thankful for. Lately I’ve been praying over this season and over every client who steps in front of my camera. Praying that I slow down enough to really enjoy it. Praying for the little moments that I might otherwise miss. Praying that I can make people feel comfortable, loved, and like they can just be themselves.

And mostly, I’m praying that I remember this business is a gift from the Lord. I don’t want to get so caught up in the busy that I forget how blessed I am to get to do this in the first place.

So, here’s to a busy few months ahead of full calendars, long drives, lots of camera time, and a whole lot of sweet memories made along the way.

Putting it all in the Lord’s hands and trusting Him with this season. 🤎✨📸

Introducing: IN THE FIELD 🦆🦌

Some things just kind of become a part of who you are. For me, hunting has always been one of those things.
Long before I ever thought about turning a camera into a business, I was spending my weekends in a duck blind, sitting in a deer stand, and finding just about any excuse to be outdoors.

Hunting was never just about the hunt. It was the stories that came with it. The places you get to see. The memories made along the way. And somewhere along the way, I realized I was already carrying a camera through all of it. So combining two things that have been such a big part of my life = hunting + photography.

Today, I’m officially introducing IN THE FIELD to Double S W Photography and my personal portfolio.

A place on my website dedicated to the hunting and outdoor stories I’ve had the chance to photograph and film anywhere from waterfowl and whitetail to big game, exotics, and whatever else I find myself getting into.

This might just be one of the most me parts of Double S W Photography, because at the end of the day, I don’t just want to photograph the moment where you take the shot. I want to tell the story of everything that led you there.

You bring the hunt. I’ll bring the camera. 🤎

One of my favorite session types will always be pregnancy announcements! They are so sweet and it’s such a special moment for the family and even myself! 🩵

Maddie and I have been friends for a few years ever since we worked at Chick-Fil-A in high school, when she told me she and her husband are pregnant I just felt such joy. I’m so thankful they asked for me to photograph this special memory they will forever cherish! 🤍🍼✨
