The camera that started it all. ๐ท ๐
When I was about 10 years old, my PopPop gave me this camera as a gift. It was summer, and we were celebrating my mother coming home from a tour in Kuwait. He showed me how to work it and told me I would take great photos with it. I went around and took everyoneโs pictures, and loved every second of it. When we picked up the film, I was so excited to see how they turned out and was disappointed to see only a few were โokโ at best. But when he saw them, he loved them, he saw how happy it made me, and told me if I kept working on it, I would get better. A few years later, with this camera, I took a photo in high school that I titled โCrayons.โ My teacher loved it so much that she featured it in the school newsletter and put it on display in the halls for all to see. When I told him, he smiled. Here I am 16 years later, still taking pictures, still working on my craft and loving every minute of it. You can never stop learning, and Iโm glad that I kept going. Photography is my passion and he gave me the tool to find it. I miss that man every day. ๐
