My friends at Linganore High School open tonight with one of my favorite shows, Shrek! They have a big and talented cast with a lot of personality. The live band is great as well, and they put on quite a show. The show runs for three nights at 7 - Thursday through Saturday 4/18 - 4/20) - and one 2 pm matinee on Sunday (4/21). As a photographer, I couldn't miss the opportunity to take pictures of nature's best show - the total eclipse. It was a challenge to shoot three cameras at once, but loads of fun. Here's a video of the total eclipse. A link to some of my favorite photos is in the comments.

The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton dedicated their new museum and visitors' center yesterday. I was thrilled to be a part of the celebration. If you are anywhere near Emmitsburg, you have to go take a look! A visit to the Seton Shrine is good anytime, but it's a perfect thing to do during a rainy weekend! The new displays are both beautiful and inspirational, and the museum is right next to the Basilica, a good place for the soul!

Thank you Raphaela and Nathan for being so generous and letting me take pictures of you both through the years. I entered the two pictures below in The Thurmont & Emmitsburg Community Show and they won top prize for color and black/white. Thank you for bringing your special energy and emotion into all you do!

If you live near Thurmont or Emmitsburg, stop on by the high school. The gym is filled with lovely crafts, delicious baked goods, beautiful fruits and vegetables, and many more wonderful photographs. And the livestock always look great! There are events throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Thurmont Middle School is putting on "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" this weekend. The actors do a great job, the set is colorful, and the story is super-funny. Catoctin Drama's recent production of 'State Fair' was a loads of fun, and it sounded and looked great! Way to go CHS!

Catoctin's opening night of 'State Fair' was a huge success. The actors and crew did great job, and the show sounds and looks fantastic. Don't miss one of Saturday's performances (1 pm or 7 pm)!

Catoctin High School has a hit with 'State Fair' - the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical from 1946. The show was over 2 years in the making - and the quality shows in its great singing, wonderful acting, and a BEAUTIFUL set! Tonight's opening night, with 2 shows on Saturday. And don't miss the animals and games in the 'real' fair before each show sponsored by Catoctin's FFA! Catoctin Cougars

Something's a little weird is happing at Linganore High School this weekend - an awesome production of 'Freaky Friday'! Don't miss their funny and surprisingly emotional show - with great songs and lots of energy! The show opens tonight and runs through Sunday (April 7, 8 and 9 at 7pm, and April 9 and 10 at 2 pm).
