It's been awhile since I've introduced myself and things have looked a little slow over here so I wanted to give an update!
First, for new followers, I've been a photographer for 15 years. I have loved photography since I can remember and after my third was born decided to take the leap and do it full time. My husband and I grew up in Ohio and moved to Montana (site unseen...before it was cool) way back in 1999! Twenty seven years later (TODAY! It's our MONTANNIVERSARY) we are still in the small town we landed in, Three Forks. When I'm not behind the camera or computer editing, you can find me at the gym, hiking, hanging with my family, reading or helping out at our other business.
Now for an update. While I was raising my now grown (and last one almost grown) girls, I photographed sports, families, seniors, weddings, branding...anything I could get my hands on! Five years ago (I think...maybe it was four)... we bought the business my husband has been at for 20 years, Steer In Trailer Sales. It's been a bit of challenge trying to balance my role there and my photography and I took quite a step back from my photography. Hence why it's been a little quiet over here (also I'm not great at social media). I am still here, still photographing, but my focus has narrowed quite a bit to families and seniors. I have made it a priority to focus on quality vs. quantity. I have my schedule so that weather and the unexpected twists of life allow my clients to reschedule without overwhelming myself or them, so that I am not constantly buried in editing, and so I am focused more on quality vs. quantity. I very much strive to make my senior sessions unique and special for each senior. I spend time finding locations and new locations and matching those with the personality of my senior. I don't want your senior photos to look like everyone else's. Family sessions can be stressful, not everyone is excited for them, I get it! But I also believe they are so important to have. So I try to make them comfortable, fun and relaxed. And also quick ;)! I deliver a gallery of both posed and candid images. My editing style is bright and natural. I don't typically follow the editing "trends" of photography.
If my style fits with what you are looking for, I do have some openings available at the end of this month and this fall! I will be hosting Fall Mini Sessions around the Three Forks Area. Those dates will be posted soon. Fall is busy season and we travel quite a bit so spots are very limited. If you are interested in a shoot contact me soon. I truly love what I do and I look forward to working with you!
