But for me it’s more: Why did I keep shooting weddings?

And while this answer evolves over time, I think it’s because of all the joy. My life gets to be made up of the “once in a lifetime moments” and the “best day” of other people lives, and that energy is absolutely incredible to live in. The couples I get to work with are each different, but the underlying love and joy is consistent.

Every time I am editing a wedding, or looking back at the photos, I remember all the love and the happiness on your mom’s face, and the tears in your dad’s eyes. And the same joy you feel looking back at your photos is how I get to feel AT MY JOB! Every single day! And what an incredible gift that is.
