Hey friend ✨
January is almost over and this is my first post of 2026. So it feels right to start here.
Like you, I write New Year’s resolutions every year; some I stick with, some I quietly abandon by February. This year, I took a different approach. I worked through Mel Robbin’s workbook alongside her podcast episode, and instead of rushing ahead, I slowed down and reflected.
If you’ve done the workbook, you’ll remember the first step: looking back at the highs and lows of the previous year.
This past year asked a lot of me.
In January 2025, after being cancer-free for 14 years, my mom was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. I stepped into the role of primary caregiver, navigating appointments, decisions, and responsibilities I never expected to take on.
Like so many seasons of life, it spilled into my work. The personal and professional are never truly separate. My business didn’t receive all of the energy I wanted to give it, but what I did learn was just how strong and determined I am.
And I am endlessly grateful for the clients who trusted me in that season. If you stepped into front of my camera in 2025, thank you. Creating space for you to be seen, boldly and beautifully - it’s why I do this work.
At the beginning of October, I realized I needed a reminder of what it feels like to be seen.
So I booked my own hair and makeup, set up the studio, and handed the camera to my artist. Being both the subject and the creative director was a little taxing, but I’m so grateful she trusted my guidance behind the lens. When I reviewed the images at the end of the session, emotions hit hard. The portraits reflected the woman and the brand I’m building.
As I walk into 2026, I’m clear on my purpose.
I’m here to photograph women who are ready to honor their confidence, their power, and their story — not just to reach their goals, but to exceed their own expectations.
I have a special offer coming at the end of the week to celebrate a milestone birthday, so keep an eye out for Saturday’s post. You won’t want to miss it!
