Thank you all so much for your continued patience and grace as I continue to navigate this heavy season. Some days I’ll start feeling on top of the world, others it’s hard to just get out of bed. If all of the grief this year has taught me anything, it’s to take time to rest when you need to. Because life will continue on, no matter what you do.

My circle of people keep reminding me that it’s okay that I’m not just magically okay. Because grief doesn’t have a timeline. And it’s a lifelong journey, and that sucks. But I’m trying to navigate it.

Anyhoo, all this to say that I’m still here trying to get through galleries as quickly as possible, but social media is taking a huge backseat. So you won’t be seeing me here much for the foreseeable future.

✨ Let’s talk about second shooters ✨

At the start of 2025 I changed my full wedding packages to all include a second shooter, and I am happy to say that I 100% stand by that decision! And there are two main reasons why:

1. In all honesty, there are just some moments that won’t be captured without a second photographer present. My primary role on your wedding day is to capture all of the big moments as they are happening and keeping an eye out for the little moments as they pop up. But a second shooter can primarily be looking to capture those more candid moments throughout the day, offering you a completely different perspective of your wedding day. Two photographers are better than one.

2. There were two weddings this year that I absolutely needed a second shooter. In the middle of busy season, I had an ovarian cyst rupture the day before a wedding. I was able to text my second and let her know the situation and have her step in when I needed to sit down or wasn’t able to get a particular angle that I wanted. My last wedding of the season was right before my dad passed away - he had just been moved to hospice and we knew it would be any day. The couple didn’t book a second shooter add-on but I knew I would need the extra support so I brought a second with me. She was able to step in throughout the day when I needed time to breathe or compose myself. It was important to have someone I could lean on that had shot with me before to make sure I didn’t miss any of the important moments. Neither couple had any idea that anything was amiss with me on their day because my second shooters are ROCKSTARS. They might know now but didn’t know on their big day 🤭😆

All this to say that I freaking love my second shooters and I have trusted them to step in when I had to step away during your big day this season and I am so so so thankful for each one of them. So yes, I will continue to include seconds in all of my full wedding packages to ensure you have the most beautifully captured wedding day possible.
