This weekend lit something back up in me.
Being an artist especially a wedding photographer isn’t always soft and pretty. It’s long days, constant output, and finding ways to stay inspired when your brain is running on fumes. But then you step into a space like this, surrounded by real connection, intentional design, and people who feel deeply… and it reminds you exactly why you do this.

This is why I create.

For the kind of love that isn’t performative. The kind that’s layered, effortless, and a little bit electric. The kind you can’t fake and honestly wouldn’t want to.
This space, this energy, this couple it all lit me on fire again. And being trusted to document something this honest? That’s something I don’t take lightly.
Grateful to have found my people, my creativity, and the reason I fell in love with photography in the first place.

There are weddings… and then there are weddings that feel like a perfectly curated series of inside jokes, meaningful traditions, and moments you couldn’t plan even if you tried.
This wedding at The Houstonian Hotel was exactly that.
From burying hot dogs for good weather (yes, really and honestly, I might start recommending it to all my couples at this point 🌭), to custom embroidered wedding sneakers, to running through the grounds like they had the entire place to themselves every part of this day felt intentional, personal, and unapologetically them.
The Houstonian always brings this quiet, tucked-away elegance in the middle of Houston, but what made this wedding special wasn’t just the setting it was the intricacies.
The laughter during the first look.
The emotional moments with family.
The calm before the ceremony.
The spontaneous running through the lawn just because it felt right.
And then… because no truly great wedding ends traditionally…
They wrapped the night with Whataburger in wedding attire, because nothing says Houston wedding quite like late-night burgers in formalwear.
This is what I love most about weddings like this when couples stop trying to make their day look like everyone else’s and instead create something that actually reflects them. The result? A wedding that feels effortless, memorable, and completely authentic.
Not overly posed.
Not overly polished.
Just real moments, real laughter, and a whole lot of personality.
And honestly… those are always my favorite.

Some weddings follow traditions.
This one followed vibes… and honestly? 10/10 decision.

A custom illustrated veil with moons and stars.
A ceremony dripping in florals and hanging constellations.
A first dance floating on clouds.
Late-night churros and Diet Coke because champagne towers are great… but personality is better.

This wedding at The Peach Orchard wasn’t trying to look like anyone else’s day and that’s exactly why it worked.

Every detail felt intentional. Nothing felt expected. And the result? A wedding that felt less like an event and more like stepping into their world for the day.

Also:
• dramatic aisle florals that deserved their own moment
• a vintage getaway car straight out of a movie
• a dress + veil combo I’m still not emotionally recovered from

Finally sharing these bridals I’ve been sitting on… and they were worth the wait.

The entire vibe was vintage romance meets Michelin-star elegance candlelight, old-world textures, and the kind of atmosphere that feels more like a Paris fine-dining experience than a photoshoot.

This is why I love bridal sessions.
No timeline pressure. No distractions. Just space to create something editorial, timeless, and a little dramatic.

Bridals don’t have to be traditional.
They can feel like a Vogue spread set in your favorite restaurant.

And honestly… I’m here for that.

What’s going to happen when your kids ask if you were *actually* a lean, mean 165 lbs at age 30 and you need photographic proof? Or when you swear you once had a full head of hair, but all you’ve got are blurry, filtered Snapchat memories from 2016?

So for your own sake, grooms, let’s get creative and capture the one day you actually checked the back of your hair in the mirror. Don’t be afraid to ask for more photos!!

Golden hour at Le Tesserae feels almost unreal—like the building knows when to soften its edges and let the light pour in just right. The moment she stepped into that warmth, veil catching the shadows, florals stitched into her gown, everything in the room paused.

This is why I love shooting at Le Tesserae. There’s this beautiful balance of modern architecture and quiet romance… a space that lets you breathe, feel, and sink into the moment. The way the window grids painted her skin, the way the bouquet echoed the tones of sunset—it all felt intentional, effortless, and deeply emotional.
