🎭 Lights, passion, action! Capturing this talented senior who’s ready to take center stage behind the scenes as she’s off to study Theatre Management in college.

When mom first approached me about taking her daughter’s senior photos, she said they wanted an artsy shoot in an old theater with dramatic lighting and although I’m always a bit nervous about shooting somewhere sight unseen, I was excited to challenge myself artistically.

The three of us got more and more excited with each shot as we saw how they were appearing in camera. This shoot was such a BLAST! I could have stayed shooting in that old theater for days, but we unfortunately had a timed rental.

Before and during the shoot, the three of us geeked out about theater as we tried to rank our favorites. Mine are Come From Away, Hadestown, Les Miserables, Bright Star and maybe Matilda for some comic relief (although that is probably tied with Six and Mamma Mia and Hairspray!)

One of the smartest ways to invest in the brand of your business is to create a large library of images to use throughout the life of your business! Lexie: Part One. Now and Then (2017)

I remember first meeting Lexie when she was nine-ish years old. She was wearing a pink dress, big bow, and wedge (!) sandals. I think she maybe even had a coordinating purse to match those silver wedges. At a time when I could barely get my own girls out of T-shirts and athletic shorts, I was so impressed with this golden girl!

Oh how I love my senior shoots! I had the pleasure in taking Emily’s senior photos; we did some photos in an old library. It’s very important to me, to let the seniors create images that represent their vibrancy, dreams, and personality!

I am honored to have photographed Leah throughout the various stages of her life, including these images from 2013 and then again in 2024 as a senior! It’s been so amazing to see her grow and become the young woman she is today! It’s wild how fast the time really does go 🥹❤️
