Soooo apparently I took a seven-month Instagram nap. We’re not gonna talk about it 😂

But it feels right coming back with this one.

If I could live inside salty fog forever, I probably would. There’s just something about it. It feels like a movie and I will absolutely romanticize it every time. I set up a tripod, hit the timer, and prayed we were actually in focus.

It was hot. It was humid. The sun never showed up. I did my hair for no reason. But it was perfect. And yes, the birds were paid actors.

I spend most of my life behind the lens, but every now and then I need to step into the frame too, because this kind of love is worth holding on to. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else. The love we share is so special and I don’t take that for granted.

Not gonna lie… I ghost Instagram sometimes (okay, pretty often lol).
Not because I don’t love what I do.
Not because I’m out of stories to tell.

But because real life has been full in the best, most beautiful ways. And sometimes being here feels heavier than I want, and life offline just feels better.

I’m going to try and show up here again, little by little. And I’ve missed it. Missed sharing the love, the laughter, the fleeting, chaotic, heart-bursting moments that remind us why we ever try to freeze time in the first place.

I’ve got photos to share, families to celebrate, and a whole lot of magic tucked away in my camera roll.

I’ve shot so many families this year, but this one? They win favorite and most chaotic every single time. Love them to pieces, even when they make me question my sanity! Grateful for every crazy, loud, and love-filled moment with them. 😂

I don’t know if you know this… but a Family Session isn’t solely focused on traditional posed portraits. Shocking, I know right?! And it’s not just about rounding up the family for stiff smiles and forced poses (although we’ll get those too but make it fast).

One of my absolute top priorities? It’s to capture the real, unscripted moments of your family. I’m looking for the laughter, the playful banter, the quiet glances that speak volumes. I’m looking for evidence of your unique family dynamics, the bonds that make your unit extraordinary. I’m searching for the moments that you probably forgot you even do, day in, day out. The Unseen Family Magic. I’m searching for the moments that I can hand back to you, on gallery delivery day, and silently say “This is what they see. Aren’t you all incredible together?” You think you’re just for booking family photos. But my ultimate goal? It’s for you to see what I see. What they see. It’s a love without question. 📸👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💖
