The tiniest details, the biggest memories. Little hands curled around mama’s finger, soft wrinkled feet that will never be this small again. These close ups are some of my favorite to capture, the quiet fleeting moments that make up the early days.

What if your family photos didn’t look like a photoshoot?

What if they felt like a memory instead—one your kids will still talk about years from now?

That’s what this session was. We started with a picnic, sang happy birthday, ate cake, made paper airplanes, chased each other across the field, and ended with so much laughter and those tight, heart-full hugs.

The photos I treasure most aren’t the posed ones. They’re the ones full of movement, messy hair, icing smudges, kids wrapped around your legs, and you laughing mid-chaos.

You don’t need the same photos every year. You don’t even need perfectly behaved kids or matching outfits. Just do what you love. Be fully yourselves. I’ll take care of the rest—freezing the connection, the chaos, and the quiet in between.

Their first baby, two sweet dogs, and so much love. Baby snoozed through every hug, laugh, and tail wag. It was the kind of session that felt like love in every corner—quiet, joyful, and full of connection.

Thought it was time for a proper “about me” since… I’ve actually never done one here. 🙈

📸 I’m Maria—the one behind the lens at Maria Grace Photos.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Mom to three, wife to one, and the owner of one crazy pup.
🌱 I have way too many houseplants (and no intention of stopping).
🎧 I edit while listening to audiobooks—send me your recs!
👣 I believe the magic is in the mess—the real, in-between moments are the ones we’ll miss most one day.

These photos are from our Labor Day beach trip last year. I brought my tripod and took a few frames, but like most of the photos I take of my own family, they’ve just been sitting on my hard drive. Client galleries always come first… but I needed some images of this dress from my client closet, and it gave me the perfect excuse to finally go back and edit a few. And I’m so glad I did.

From baby bump to baby snuggles – what a joy it is to watch a family’s story unfold! ✨I first photographed this sweet crew for their maternity session, and now here we are, soaking up all the newborn goodness (tiny toes, squishy cheeks and sisters who just can’t stop giving kisses 🥹)
