It was a warm and muggy summer night, but baby Shirley kept smiling. What an amazing night at Natalie Charlton

And what you don’t see in these photos is the 10 amazing photographers I standing beside me capturing their own perspective. We had such a wonderful S&P reunion weekend in June. This month for The Motherhood Anthology | Education for Photographers education, I’m showing behind the scenes of a newborn session with mom and two siblings. They are the sweetest big siblings who came with a lot of energy, personality and their own plans for the flow of the session. I always tell new parents we are on “baby time” - but seasoned parents know that the toddlers call the shots.

This month I will have educational content in The Motherhood Anthology | Education for Photographers on working with siblings in newborn sessions to get authentic and meaningful images. Sometimes adding toddlers can feel like an unknown. I approach every family with the same calm and understanding. My own kids are now teenagers and using that 20/20 vision into the past gives me a perspective that I’m excited to share.
