This has literally changed my life.
Anxious attachment isn’t being “too much.”
It’s a nervous system that learned love was inconsistent so it stays on alert. Reading tone. Re-reading texts. Bracing for the pull-away before it happens.
You’re not needy. You’re vigilant. There’s a difference.
The work isn’t to stop feeling it. It’s to notice when it’s running the show and remind your body that you’re safe now, even when someone takes a while to text back.
I’m not a therapist. Just sharing what’s working for me as I rebuild and rediscover who i am.
