Taking a stroll in the canola fields. The bright yellow, yet small petals encouraged me to feel empowered.

They remind me of finding small joys in everyday life, romanticising ordinary moments allows our everyday to shine and be more enriched.

I was deep in reverie, wandering through a garden abloom with the subtle beauties of spring. It was a perfumed paradise where every flower held a story waiting to be told.

The freshness of blossoms drifted through the air, while the gentle music of the wind danced among the leaves. The warmth of spring lingered in every breath, and the soft touch of young grass beneath my feet completed the enchantment.

For a moment, I simply stood there, immersed in the sensory delights of the garden. Surrounded by colour, fragrance, and birdsong, I felt as though I had stepped into a hidden realm where wonder bloomed as freely as the flowers themselves, and every petal held the promise of a story waiting to unfold.

From Mai’s Atelier • June 2026

The June edition arrives with the gentle charm of a hidden garden in bloom.

Tucked away among winding pathways and soft morning light, it is a place that feels as though it belongs to another world. Surrounded by flowers, I found myself thinking of childhood afternoons spent imagining tiny dresses made from petals and leaves, and wondering what fairies might create from the treasures of the garden.

For June 2026, you’re invited into this whimsical corner of nature. Each element of this edition is designed to bring a little wonder, softness, and imagination into your day.

Inside your envelope, you’ll find:
– A garden artwork, filled with floral colour and dreamlike charm
– A handwritten letter sharing the childhood dream and memories that inspired this piece
– A small handmade keepsake, thoughtfully created to accompany the experience

I hope you enjoy spending time with each part of this edition as much as I did creating it.

Sometimes I think waterfalls are nature’s way of teaching us how to let go.

There’s something magical about waterfalls in motion, the way they never stay still, yet somehow make everything around them feel calmer.

I wanted these moving images to feel less like simply watching a landscape, and more like being present within it. The flowing water, shifting light, and gentle movement became a way of capturing not only what the waterfall looked like, but also the quiet feeling of standing there and listening.

Can we create a dress using flower petals? This was a question I often wandered through gardens with as a child.

I spent hours gathering fallen petals and little treasures from nature, imagining dresses for the fairies I believed lived secretly amongst the flowers. Soft pink and yellow roses felt gentle and dreamy, while deep red lilies carried a more dramatic elegance.

For this June edition of From Mai’s Atelier, I wanted to recreate those childhood memories through a handmade letter, including a letter, a small print of my garden piece, and a handmade little gift, preserving a little of that whimsy and childhood dreaming just a little longer.

Behind every finished print is a thoughtful process of care and craftsmanship.

I print my works at .au where I’m also fortunate to assist, which allows me to be closely involved in the printing process alongside experienced printers. It’s always exciting seeing the images come to life on paper and watching all the colours and details slowly appear during printing.

From choosing the paper to fine tuning the final result, every print is carefully produced with great attention to detail. I feel very grateful to work alongside people with deep knowledge of professional fine art printing.

My journey of exploring the mystical forest.

After a long night in a misty forest, sunlight finally appeared in the morning. With joy of the first light - the warmth of the morning sun greeted the shivering mist surrounding the trees, which turned into golden sparkles.

The mist covering the forest path was slowly lifted, leading me deeper into the forest.

Lured by the sound of flowing water, we followed its trail until we finally reached the hidden waterfall that dimly glowed. We witnessed the wind dance around the fallen water, allowing it to glow pale blue. Surrounded by the crisp air and echoed sounds of water in a quiet forest, the entire place became spiritual.

A waterfall nourished by lush green moss, where water, stone, and nature exist in harmony. The layers of moss wrapped around the rocks made the entire place feel ancient, untouched, and deeply peaceful, as if the forest had been caring for it for centuries.
