Tonight my mama heart is extra full. ❤️

After four weeks with his dad this summer, Conner is finally back home, and having all three of my babies under one roof again just feels right.

Co-parenting is a blessing, but if you’ve lived it, you know it also comes with a lot of emotions. I’m thankful Conner gets to spend quality time with his dad, and I’m thankful for every memory they make together. But that doesn’t make the long stretches apart any easier on this mama’s heart.

One thing my trip to Peru reminded me is not to take the ordinary moments for granted.

The laughter coming from another room.
The kids picking on each other.
The messy kitchen.
The requests for snacks every five minutes.
The bedtime hugs.

These are the moments I’ll miss one day.

So tonight, I’m simply grateful. Grateful to hear all three of my kids filling this house with life again, and grateful for another season of making memories together.

If you’re walking the road of co-parenting too, I hope you know you’re not alone. There can be joy, gratitude, and hard feelings all at once—and it’s okay to hold all of those with grace.
