The last time I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family was back in 2018, for a maternity shoot. Tragically, at little over 5 weeks old, their perfect baby boy, Austin Henry, was called back home to fly with the angels. Though Austin is no longer physically here on this earth, his spirit is so very much here in the hearts of his older brother, baby sister, and in those of his adoring parents. Amazingly, when we started our family shoot a few weeks ago, a little deer lay down in the grass, observing, staying near, and allowing me to take this photo. If that's not a sign that Austin's spirit lives on, then I don't know what is.

Tomorrow, December 14th, will have been Austin's 2nd birthday. Please friends, if you feel it in your hearts and are able, make a donation in Austin Henry's memory to firstcandle.org, an organization committed to the prevention of sudden infant death and to the support of bereaved families. I know it would be so appreciated.

Lindsie, thank you for letting me share your story. Your family is an inspiration.
