I’ve been sitting on this for a little while now, praying over it, thinking about it & asking God what the next chapter of this business is supposed to look like.
And I think it’s finally time. 🤎
For the next few days, I’m officially logging off this business page.
Not because I’m quitting.
Not because I’m slowing down.
Actually… quite the opposite.
I’m stepping away because something new is coming, & I want to give it the time, prayer, intention & work that it deserves.
When I started this business, I knew I loved photography. I knew I loved capturing people, stories, horses, weddings, rodeos & the western way of life that raised me.
What I didn’t know was just how much God would use this business to grow me, stretch me, redirect me & show me pieces of a calling I couldn’t completely see when I first started.
Over the last year, I’ve learned more about myself as a business owner than I ever expected to.
I’ve learned what I love.
I’ve learned what I don’t.
I’ve learned who I feel called to serve.
I’ve learned where my heart is.
And most importantly, I’ve learned that sometimes God gives you something for one season because He is preparing you for what He is going to entrust you with in the next.
Sometimes the thing you originally build is exactly what you needed for that season, but that doesn’t mean God is asking you to stay there forever.
I’ve spent countless days doing so much more than taking pictures.
I’ve been the photographer, the problem solver, the calm person in the room & sometimes the person quietly filling a role that was never technically mine to fill.
For a while, I looked at those moments as simply part of the job.
Now, I’m starting to realize God may have been showing me something through them.
There is another part of this industry that I genuinely love, & after a LOT of prayer, I’m finally ready to make all the room it needs.
At the same time, I’ve felt myself being pulled harder & harder back toward my roots.
Horses.
Rodeo.
Ranches.
Western lifestyle.
Trainers.
Breeders.
Horse sales.
Promotional work.
The people who make their living in boots, dirt, barns, arenas & long days.
That world isn’t just an aesthetic or a niche I picked because it photographs well.
It’s home.
And I don’t believe it’s an accident that God gave me a love for that world long before He ever put a camera in my hands.
So I’ve decided it’s time to rebuild this business in a way that represents all of me, everything I feel called to serve & everything I believe God has been quietly preparing me for.
That means a new chapter.
A new look.
A new direction.
New services.
A much bigger vision.
And yes…
a new name.
This isn’t just a logo change.
This is a full rebrand.
I’m rebuilding my website.
I’m restructuring services.
I’m creating new offerings.
I’m redefining what this business looks like moving forward.
I’m putting together something that finally feels like the business it has slowly been growing into.
But more than anything, I want this next chapter to be God-led.
This wasn’t a decision I made overnight.
It has been prayed over.
It has been talked about with God.
It has been questioned.
It has been surrendered.
And it has been placed back in His hands more times than I can count.
I have dreams for this business.
I have plans scribbled everywhere.
I have ideas that make me want to stay up until 3 a.m. building them.
But I never want my excitement for where I could take this business to become louder than where God is actually calling me to take it.
Because at the end of the day, this business belongs to Him before it ever belongs to me.
If He opens a door, I’ll walk through it.
If He closes one, I’ll trust Him.
If He redirects me, I’ll follow.
If He asks me to wait, I’ll wait.
And if His plan looks completely different from the one I wrote for myself, then I want His plan more.
“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.”
Proverbs 16:9
That’s the foundation I want this next chapter built on.
Not numbers.
Not bookings.
Not followers.
Not recognition.
Obedience.
I want to steward what God has placed in my hands well.
So while there are some really exciting things coming, including an entirely new side of this business that I cannot WAIT to finally share, you’re gonna have to wait just a little longer. 😉
From now until September 25th, this page is going quiet.
No business posts.
No constant teasers.
No half-reveals.
I’m putting my head down, praying, working & letting myself build this right before I introduce it.
And it felt pretty fitting to choose my Pawpaws birthday to introduce a new chapter of something that has become such a huge part of my life.
So on September 25th, I’ll be back.
New name.
New brand.
New services.
New direction.
Same girl behind the camera.
Same God leading every step.
To every person who has booked me, shared my work, recommended me, trusted me with your wedding day, stood in front of my camera, welcomed me into your arena, your ranch, your family or one of the biggest days of your life…
thank you.
You helped build the foundation for what comes next.
I’m incredibly grateful for this chapter & everything God has done through it.
But I believe He’s asking me to turn the page.
This isn’t about making my business look bigger.
It’s about being more intentional with what God has placed in my hands & having the courage to follow where He’s leading it next.
Whatever comes next, I want His name written all over it.
So I’m logging off for a little while.
I’ve got some praying, creating & building to do.
See y’all September 25th. 🤎
*edit to add — I’m still taking pictures & new clients & if you’re already on the books, don’t stress! Your session stays! 🫶🏻
