While today marks two years of marriage, their love story spans more than a decade. What should have been a season of celebrating your first year as newlyweds became something entirely different when Heather was diagnosed with cancer, one month before their first wedding anniversary.
Since then, they have faced challenges that no couple ever hopes to endure, yet through it all, they have shown what true partnership looks like. Their journey has been one of unwavering faith, incredible strength, resilience, and unconditional love.
They are a beautiful reminder that marriage is not only about celebrating life’s happiest moments, but about standing together through its hardest ones.
As a wedding photographer, every couple I work with holds a special place in my heart. I spend months getting to know them, helping bring their vision to life, meeting their family and friends, and standing beside them on one of the most meaningful days of your lives. Those connections don’t end when the wedding is over, they become bonds that stay with me forever. That’s why hearing news like Heather’s diagnosis feels so deeply personal and heartbreaking. Watching Heather and Andy navigate this chapter together has only strengthened my admiration for them and the vows they made to one another.
Heather and Andy, your love is a true testament to what those vows mean…through sickness and in health, for better or worse, choosing each other every single day.
Happy Anniversary, your story inspires all of us. ❤️
If you feel called to support Heather and her family during this time, a GoFundMe has been created to help with medical expenses. Any support, whether through a donation, a share, or simply keeping them in your thoughts and prayers, is deeply appreciated.
