As water temperatures drop, painted turtles will settle to the bottom of the river. They slow their metabolisms to survive winter under the ice with little oxygen.

It’s not too often I see a bald eagle with my camera handy, so I was excited to see this one soaring overhead yesterday! I was hoping for more opportunities and some cleaner shots but I can’t complain. Always in awe of these kings of the sky!

Last night’s lunar eclipse 🌙

First shot was taken exactly at the peak, 12:12 AM

It was a beautiful night taking it in with Blake but made for a very tired Friday 🥱

Moon pictures are challenging but I always learn something for next time 🙌

My best advice? Slow down and watch hummingbirds 🙌 they move fast so you can think slow
