Fall in Telluride is almost here… and I seriously can’t wait!

There’s something incredible about watching the San Juan Mountains turn gold each year—yellow aspen leaves, snow-covered peaks, and ever-changing weather.

This Fall, I have 10 elopements in 14 days, and I can’t wait to see what adventures each couple experiences!

I’m already booking for fall of next year, so if it’s your dream to get married in the mountains while the leaves are yellow, visit Elopetelluride.com and fill out our contact form today.

I only book a limited amount around this time each year.

Sometimes the perfect elopement location is waiting at the end of a really rough road. 🏔️

One of my favorite parts of a Telluride elopement is heading high into the San Juan Mountains and watching the day unfold along the way.

We might have an idea of where we’re going, but the mountains ultimately decide what looks incredible that day. The light changes. Clouds roll in. Wildflowers bloom. And sometimes we round a corner and I know we’ve found it.

That’s when we stop.

Because the goal isn’t to recreate someone else’s wedding photo. It’s to find the perfect place, on your day, for your adventure.

And honestly, getting there is usually half the fun.

If getting married at the end of a mountain road sounds more exciting than walking down an aisle… we should probably talk. ❤️

What if your wedding day wasn’t something you planned every minute of… but an adventure you couldn’t wait to experience?

That’s what I love about eloping in Telluride.

You head into the mountains knowing there will be incredible views, but you never really know what the day is going to give you. Changing weather, unexpected stops, dirt roads, and those moments when you come around a corner and just have to stop and take it all in.

The photos are beautiful… but it’s everything that happens between them that makes the day unforgettable.

If that sounds more exciting than stressful to you, you might be exactly the kind of couple who would love a Telluride elopement. ❤️🏔️

Some of the most unforgettable places don’t come easy… and that’s exactly what Alissa and Hunter were hoping for.

For their Telluride elopement, we tackled one of the toughest off-road routes I’ve driven to reach a beautiful alpine lake tucked away high in the San Juan Mountains. It wasn’t an easy journey, but every bump in the road was worth it.

Before the ceremony, Hunter surprised Alissa with letters from family and friends. The tears started before they exchanged vows, and at nearly 12,000 feet above sea level, surrounded by the mountains of western Colorado, they became husband and wife.

One of my favorite parts of the day came afterward.

Instead of rushing to the next location, we simply explored. Around every corner was another incredible view, another photo, and another reason to keep going. That’s one of the things I love most about a Colorado elopement—sometimes the best moments are the ones you never planned.

By the end of the day, we were exhausted, covered in a little mountain dust, and celebrating with burgers from Maggie’s. I honestly can’t think of a better way to end an adventure.

If your dream wedding is about exploring incredible places, embracing whatever the mountains have in store, and creating memories you’ll talk about for the rest of your life… that’s exactly why I love what I do.

One of the biggest misconceptions about eloping in Telluride is that it’s all about the photos.

The truth is… you’re still getting married in the mountains.

The weather can change in minutes. A sunny afternoon can turn into a thunderstorm. A road can close because of a mudslide. Wildfires can shift plans. Sometimes the adventure you planned isn’t the adventure the mountains have in mind.

And honestly…

That’s part of what makes it so special.

The couples who have the most incredible day aren’t the ones chasing the “perfect” Instagram photo.

They’re the ones who love being outside. They get excited about mountain roads, hiking to hidden places, casting a fly into an alpine lake, or laughing when a little rain rolls in. They understand that sometimes the unexpected moments become the ones they remember most.

If that sounds like you, I think you’re going to absolutely love eloping here.

If your biggest priority is making sure everything stays perfectly clean, every detail goes exactly as planned, or having a large group of guests there to watch… a traditional wedding may honestly be a better fit.

Neither choice is wrong.

But if your dream is to start your marriage with an unforgettable adventure in the San Juan Mountains… I’d love to help you create a day you’ll still be talking about 30 years from now.

If you could have any drink in the world at your Elopement, what would it be?

I love going above and beyond for my couples! This is the best day of your life, and if you want a special drink to enjoy while you elope in the mountains of Colorado, I want to help make that happen!
Whether it’s bringing a bottle of ch*****ne (which every elopement gets) or a bottle of bourbon, w**e, your favorite b**r, c***r, coffee, or fruit punch, I’ll make it happen!
I like bringing the proper glasses for you and every single elopement gets a his/her elopement bottle full of cold water, because I don’t want anyone passing out at high altitude!

Fall 2026 is completely full. If you are interested in a Fall elopement with all those beautiful yellow leaves we are already booking those dates for 2027!
I’m amazed at how fast those dates book up every year.
Fall colors are never guaranteed, but there is a 10 day stretch that allows a higher chance of yellow leaves.
Go to elopetelluride.com and fill out our contact form to see when that is.

If you’re dreaming about getting married in the mountains… don’t just dream about the photos. Dream about the day.

Michael and Kaci told me they wanted one thing above everything else… an adventure.

So that’s exactly what we did.

We loaded up, headed into the San Juan Mountains, and spent the day seeing what was around the next corner. Every stop felt different than the last. We found incredible overlooks, hidden waterfalls, quiet places to exchange vows, and some views that honestly never get old.

The funny thing is… some of my favorite moments weren’t when I had the camera to my eye.

They were the conversations between locations. The excitement when another incredible view appeared. The laughs bouncing down the trail. Those moments where you’re just taking it all in together.

The photos are what you’ll hang on your wall…

But the adventure is what you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

If that sounds like the way you’d want to start your marriage, let’s make it happen.
