🍄 The Annual Mushroom Report 🍄

The forecast was correct, this weekend was 100% chance of Mush-love and a FUNgi-time!!🍄‍🟫 ❤️ Here are just a few of my favorite shots from this years parade!!

✨ The Telluride Mushroom Festival has always been my favorite festival! It was the first festival I witnessed when I moved to Telluride many years ago. It was a shock for sure, but was also the most welcoming crowd! The vibrant colors roaming the streets, the time put into the outfits and of course mushroom! I love photographing mushrooms in the wild, learning to cook and identify them, and so much more!

📝Mushrooms are an essential part of the natural world, helping ecosystems stay healthy and balanced. Without fungi, forests and other ecosystems would struggle to recycle nutrients and renew themselves. They remind us that the smallest and most unusual organisms can play a vital role in the health of our planet. 🌎

✨The Bride & The Mountains✨

💍 A single photo for this sneak peek of Lexi and Cody’s August elopement. This dress was absolutely perfection against the gorgeous mountain backdrop.

✨While there are ways to make a photo perfect, sometimes the little imperfections are what makes the photo beautiful. I’ve always been a huge fan of hair strands blowing in the wind. To me it helps tell a story, a feeling of that moment. To me they are truly beautiful.

🌻Summer Engagements🌻

The magic of summer engagements is the uniqueness of what the season brings. Flowers blossoming, low clouds in the back, rainbows and even dancing in the rain. 🌧️

“What if it rains for our proposal session?” Well, two things. I am all for bracing the weather! Those end up being some of the most beautiful moments. If you are truly concerned about the weather, we can adjust for timing etc. I help monitor the forecast to help find a better time or just a better location.

✨ Graduation ✨

✨ It’s one of the biggest stepping stones in the chapters of life. Kids wait for what feels like forever for senior year, and then it creeps up on you. It’s a time where they start navigating their story. Are they staying close to home or moving far? It’s a time of discovering who they are and how they want the next chapters to start.

✨ I’ve had the honor of capturing Ella’s graduation session just a few years after her sisters. Being able to capture a families story over the years is something that I hold near and dear to my heart. So many more fun photos from Ella’s graduation session to come!

☀️ Summer headshots never felt more powerful with Lindsay 🦔 Something unique about headshots, is that they can look absolutely different depending on your career!

⛰️ When you book your headshots with me, we talk about what you are wanting to convey to your target audience. Do they need to look office professional? Do you want to tell your story? What is the message that you are wanting your headshots to tell? What do you want your photos to feel like?

✨ Not all professions need an in-studio face shot. Some do yes, but not all. In small towns like Telluride, we are everyday people, not a big corporate chain. Let’s work together to tell your story!

✨ Summers in the San Juan Mountains ✨

⛷️ A sentence I hear all the time is “You must have moved here to ski!”. While I do ski, I absolutely LOVE hiking more! I know, controversial.🫣 But here’s why.

• Wildflowers! Enough said!
• More scenery to see such as lakes, waterfalls, and streams.
• You can incorporate more activities in hiking such as camping, climbing, swimming,picnics and more.
• No ski boots (unless you’re summer skiing!)
• More hiking trails than ski trails, and let’s be honest, it’s sometimes easier to hike harder trails than to ski harder trails.

🗺️The list goes on and on! Adventure begins where the pavement ends. Whether you’re chasing Mountain View’s, quiet forests, or unforgettable sunsets, Tellurides hiking trails offer something for everyone.

✨ Music ✨

🎶 It’s one of the few things created that can be felt before it’s understood. Core memories are built off sound. We listen to music to feel joyful, feel grief, to feel understood.

✨ In a crowd, I hear and feel not only the music, but the emotion and feeling that comes from its surroundings. I hope one day, you will hear music playing, and you take a pause to listen and watch the real life stories that are happening all around.

✨ From the fun upbeat tempo to the slowed down vocals, I kept witnessed the different emotions from this specific couple. The joy and love they had being next to each other. From my perspective, it felt as if there were no crowds, but an intimate moment between them and the music.
