At risk of putting too much out there I want to tell you my I selfishly choose to show up for you strangers turning friends over and over. Josh (dad) today looked at me and said wow you have a hard job.
Thank you Josh, I do!
But what he doesn’t see is how much you do for me:
I get to show up for you and do something no one else at that moment can provide for you.
I get to see how you live and love and dance and fight (no one ever is fighting ever don’t worry all is perfect) and laugh and joke
I get to learn how you parent your kids and love them endlessly- I see you through all the frustrations and bribes we all go through.
YOUR FRIENDS love you and you love them so much I learn how to be a good friend.
I get to see you honor the family members around you by including them in your photos and life events you basically just threw a whole party for them to show you that you want them here!!!
I get to feel your appreciation and care as you tell me to eat and grab me in to take a photo with me - someone you JUST met!
I get to hear you brag about me. I get to brag about YOU!
I get to distract myself from all the hard stuff in life by giving back in the only way I can and I thank you for all of it. I get to dance and party with you 🕺 and yes it’s super hard sometimes and loud but I learn from you how to love and how to live.
Yes, Josh, I take photos like no one else ;) I pour my heart and soul into your life for a few hours - thank you for trusting me -
